Twinshot pops up but he often doesn't stay in the contact list until you do his first mission.

A depressing number of players haven't the slightest clue what the game's story is all about because "If they wanted to read they wouldn't be playing a video game."

Seriously, someone actually told me that once. They said the game was boring and had no story. That was their response when I asked them if they'd actually been reading the dialogue boxes.
I've been getting this too. And some of the questions from new players in the Help channel make me think that they just don't read anything.

If they're coming from World of Running, then I can see why they don't bother reading anything. The amount of narrative delivered via text in that game is minimal.

Hmm, maybe sb needs to go hang out in KR spamming broadcast with 'FREEBS - DONT GO TO TEH DETECTIVE - GO TO BLUE STEEL!" lol.

Good point about the detective hijacking the waypoint. I put a suggestion that this stop over in the suggestion forum after reading about this. It really is excessive and tends to lose players from their primary mission trail.

Sort of connected to the topic at hand is this:I was playing a newish toon yesterday, and her level was 6, and I had 3 active contacts. Habashy, Sondra something, and Jonathan St Smythe (or whatever his name is - he's in City Hall). I was enjoying doing 3 arcs at once, and was pleasantly surprised at the apparent variety of stuff to do, since i was under the impression that they'd gutted the low-level content to leave a railroad for newbies.

I wasn't having enough fun with Cold/Ice on that defender, however, and so i decided to reroll her as a TM/Ice. Shortly before I did, I finished ST Smythe's arc and was introduced to Wong, that guy standing outside City Hall near the Base portal (I think?).

After I'd deleted her and rolled her again as a TM/ICe, i played through the same content again, only this time, of course, St Smythe and Wong were'nt offered to me. Obviously, I'd rolled her up before Freedom launched, and had played her enough to get her starting Science contact arc going.

What's interesting is that I was able to finish Smythe's arc, AND was introduced to Wong after that. Which makes me believe that the old contact chains are still working, but we're just locked out of them. Which i think is a pity.

Limiting my choice in the game is hardly what I'd call 'Freedom'.

I'm submitting a bug petition too every time it happens. It's really bad.

This is a great game, but it is to easy to get trapped out of content to non content radio missions, farms and tips. And then yes, it can be very boring.

For starters, autoselect a mission (turn it red) when you accept it. This solves the autosending to detectives. Autosend is good when you enter a new map and you have nothing to do there (at least it is on red side), for blue side, no autosending to a detective if you already talked to one.

Get rid of the talk to unrelated contact, warzone and other side quests missions. And those hunts.....

That would make things a bit better.

Erm, actually it's about the same. Of course, most of the players there have the same response to it, too. ("Click here to fight mobs.")

This is a long-standing bug (yes, I said it) from when the radio missions were introduced. Any time you enter a new zone for the first time, your navigation point is hijacked to the zone's detective, EVEN IF YOU HAVE AN OBJECTIVE THERE. Which you most likely do, since you were probably sent there by a contact for a mission.

Way to break your own story flow, devs. Continue to bug it, guys.

Things must have radically improved in it since i last played it, then. Here we have briefings, debriefings, clues, NPC dialogue, mission entry popups, chat log messages, the info panels, souvenirs...apart from brief briefings and debriefings, I never noticed any of the others in that game.

Which apart from all the damn running was my main reason for hating it. "Hello? Plot? Storyline? Where are you?"

If it's got actual words in it now, maybe i'll give it another bash.
