Timer for SSA alignment merit reward
I'm fairly certain this is WAI. The only reason the WST doesn't work this way is, more likely than not, because they're different strike targets.
If the selection window works the same way it used to (not sure), you could just logout with it still up, without making a selection, and then waiting out the timer (iirc, it says how long till it's claimable). When you log back in, it should still be up.

My question is - is this the correct behavior as anyone else understood it? Is this documented somewhere? Is there a way to tell if you're not eligible yet for the alignment merit? Before I write something up for the suggestions forum, I want to make sure this is WAI or not.

I find your lack of signature disturbing.
Well, since the reward was indicated to be on a timer per character, I figured the timer applied separately to each character - just like so many other timers in the game.
I have no knowledge of how it's intended to work, but I expected it to work exactly as you're describing. I can't test it myself yet since it's only 4 days since I ran it on the first character (yes, I'm keeping track).

I can get 24 hour (actually 20) timers for tfs, emp merits, etc. It's not that hard to remember "Hey I ran this last night with my Claws Brute". But to remember what day you ran something within a 7 day period?
This makes me an unhappy paying customer, I think this could be set up in a more user friendly manner, whether that means some indication of how long your timer is left is fine, it doesn't have to be reset on Tuesdays like WST, but as is, it's very unsatisfying.

Sorry, in the year 2011 I have certain expectations I believe to be quite reasonable. People said "Notepad" for praetorian AVs and eventually we got Null the Gull. Obviously there's a timers the game knows, there's no reason we shouldn't be exposed to it.

I really, really, really wish we could just get a Tuesday Wipe of the SSA, just like we get a Tuesday Update of the WST. It'd make everything so much easier. And it'd probably be easier on the database, too.

I put a note in the character's bio of the date and time of completion when they run time-gated reward content.

Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.
Last week, like many altohoics, I spent a lot of time picking up my 2 alignment merits for most all of my pure hero/villain aligned characters. I don't remember which character did what, I just ran the arc. A lot.
Today is Tuesday, when the WST changes. The WST is on a timer that makes it easy for the player to not have to remember the date and time they last ran the WST. Tuesday comes, you're free and clear to run it and claim your WST booty.
Now, I made an assumption (and I know the cliche about assuming) that the SSA timer would be the same. After all, the SSA was introduced on a Tuesday.
Not the case, I ran with someone that I used in the latter part of last week and I made sad face when I was unable to select the alignment merit because I ran it within the last 7 days.
My question is - is this the correct behavior as anyone else understood it? Is this documented somewhere? Is there a way to tell if you're not eligible yet for the alignment merit? Before I write something up for the suggestions forum, I want to make sure this is WAI or not.
