Suggestion: FREE & PREMIUM FORUM SECTION

The devs said in a recent ustream that depending on how easy it is to do within the framework of the forum software it's something that they're looking at doing.
Certainly it's possible in vBulletin to give different groups different rights in different sections, I'm not sure how they've integrated the forum authentication into their own game authentication system and what challenges it introduces.

As long as the VIP's can't post there. It's only fair. The VIP's get an exclusive server so the Freebs and Prems should get an exclusive forum section where they can socialize and not have to deal with the VIP's.
main problem with a section for free accounts is the inevitable spam. Unless you're ok with the moderators spending all their time policing the free forum to keep it free of RMTers and immature 12 year olds.

We have many VIP's either switching to Premium or owning secondary accounts that will be Premium so couldn't they answer those questions on those accounts?
My suggestion is to have one section that gives all all access, regardless of paid subscription status.
Call it:
"FREE & PREMIUM Q&A SECTION"
That's it. Clearly, I am a VIP player, so this would not affect me, but it occurs to me that it would have advantages
1) Free and Premium players would get to ask questions to help them understand things.
2) The answers they receive could lead them to becoming VIP players or spending money on the game content.
