Protector Welcoming Committee

With the game opening up to free players next week, I'm wondering if we shouldn't plant ourselves in Atlas Park to pass out inf for enhancements, field questions, and just say "Heya, welcome to Protector!" to our new friends.

I made my first character on Protector, and it's been my main server ever since. We have a lot of really helpful/friendly people and I think it would be nice to take that "extra step" to welcome more people into our community.


So anywho, I will be in Atlas/Mercy on September 27th and subsequent days doing some of the things I mentioned up there, and I hope some of you (all of you ) will join me.

I do plan on leading sewer trials more often in the next few weeks for new players to see what the game is like on a team. Redside of course. The last thing I want to encourage is more heroes on protector, we have too many as it is.

I'll be welcoming the noobs this week too. Although, mostly on and after Wednesday.

Perhaps, by my actions, I will inspire some of them to start playing as Khelds.

I'd already placed my 'Greeter' on the steps leading to Mrs. Liberty. Planned on logging in here and there for the 1st few days. Welcoming the new arrivals and offering any assistance they may need in local.

Only be able to give Influence to the Premiums sadly.

I've held off on creating my beam weapon character just so I'd have a lvl 1 to team with new players (i also have a level 11 time manip - so I could be familiar with some of the new missions - as well as Oroborus-ing it with Kult)

I'm surprised but touched to see there is still interest in the Welcoming Committee.

CoH Freedom is giving us new opportunities to reach out new players.

This is one thing that most Protectorites appreciate about our community, so let's keep celebrating it.

Anyone know what the maximum trade is for Premium players?

So I had a friend join tonight. His 1st time playing any MMO! Going to be a slow learning curve for him. Without thinking about it I emailed him 30 million in startup funds...

He replied that he couldn't hold that much and the claim influence window was gone. I got him to check his ID to see how much had transferred.

He had 0...

This sucks.

This sounds like an excellent idea. My timezone is out of sync with the US (being ahead nearly a day here in New Zealand), so Comrade Hero can hang out in Atlas in what are offpeak times.

Man, having my main vacationing on a different server is really messing up my routine. I will make up for my lack of presence thus far by being around and about this weekend on my Peacebringer, who will have to do as my welcomer for the time being.

Well, I'll be in my usual place...well, close to my usual place since they took away my fountain... but, I'll be there saying hello and answering questions.
