stop protean's invasion abandon

how do i abandon stop proteans invasion mission? i've died enough, want to do a different mission but it wont let me. the abandon button is greyed out, is there any other way to get rid of it? is there a time period of not using this toon that will let me get rid of it?

Go talk to the contact. There should be two options, "Complete the current mission" and "Abandon the current mission". The abandon one should be the same as what you can do on the mission window. The 'Complete' option, on the other hand, acts as if you succesfully finished the mission - it gives you the reward and lets you move on to the next mission in the arc. To prevent abuse, however, the auto-complete feature can only be used once every three days on each character.

mish auto complete also cannot be used on significant mishs (usually end of story arc)

for example in the black scorpion patron arc you cannot drop the nemesis mole machine mish or the defeat trapdoor mish in the mender ramiel arc (those are the 2 that come to mind)

You could just let it sit in your list for a couple levels and they go back when your +3 or more to protean and whip him really quick.

If a mission is currently active (red starburst in nav, red marker on ground), the abandon option is grayed out. (Can't abandon in-progress missions.) Try switching your active mission with the 'Select task' button. Logging out for a few minutes should work too. If you don't have another mission, grab a radio mission. It may ask you if you are sure you want to abandon the in-progress mission.

I'm not sure, but this mission may be unavailable for Auto-complete. I think it's a badge awarding arc-ender, but could be wrong.

This arc has been bugged for myself and a few others. After completing the mission, Leonard will either give it again, or have a talk to that you can't complete/need to auto complete. Even if you do the latter, and you finally get the bank mission, either it can't be completed, the talk to after that bugs, or you get the Protean mission again. I have a character that's killed Protean about 6 times and has done the bank successfully once, just to get the Protean mission from him yet again :P

I've sent a petition and had a GM come and tell me that he's escalating the issue to a senior gm. Just funny seeing Leonard as an open contact in the late 30's when I started him in the early 20's.

(The second+ time you run the Protean mission, the cutscene where he's supposed to be in it is just of a wall with spray painted eyes on it. It's really kind of creepy)
