Invalid parts?
You can back out of the tailor without applying any changes.
Enter the tailor, see what parts have an influence price beside them or are generic parts.
It usually happens when old parts were changed, and this is why we all got more free costume change tokens.
Triumph: White Succubus: 50 Ill/Emp/PF Snow Globe: 50 Ice/FF/Ice Strobe: 50 PB Shi Otomi: 50 Ninja/Ninjistu/GW Stalker My other characters
It also happens when things are shuffled in the parts lists.
In Freedom, they've combined the Standard head and Masks with Hair into one category.
Sometimes it's just that they added a new part and re-ordered the parts list.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
It's also a bug right now. For certain SoAs (widows and crabs I understand) you lose access to things and trying to "force" them can crash the game.
I have a ticket with support about this on my Exalted crab spider even as we type.

I just took my crab spider and went Rogue on her, but it keeps giving me this error on every costume slot except for the one I switched sides on. I try to make changes (despite not knowing *which* part of the head slot is invalid - there is no indication other than the price to change in red), the game is taking my influence, but the changes do not show up in game at all.
Just tried to change my belt, which had no red price indicator next to it, to another color and it came out the same as the old one as well.

This is the "invalid" part I have been finding on all my alts recently. It took a bit of figuring out to find it, but there should be an Inf cost in red next to the section of the costume holding the "invalid" part to help out a little bit.

I'm officially frustrated and confused here and the fact that it keeps charging me such a high cost for a failed change is ridiculous.
Edit: I guess I'll put in a ticket and hope for the best.
Got this when I went to modify one of my older characters costume:
"This costume has invalid parts. you may continue to use the costume as is, but if you wish to modify it using the tailor, you will be required to replace any invalid parts."
So... pretty straight forward. Question is, why are some of the parts invalid? Is there a way to know what they are?
