Why do you dislike WP, Starflier? Of all the defense sets I've tried, it's my favorite. It's mostly a click & forget set and it has a little bit of everything.
Also, I have a brute we could use when we go redside. Not exactly a tank, but should help keep Shakeup on his feet.
I'm digging GitG, but as weird as it is to say, the personality and background I've given him is going to conflict with our redside plans too much, I think.

Mostly, it's squishier than any set I've ever played. To be fair though, I've only played it to 37, so maybe it gets better later, I dunno.
Rerolling isn't a problem at this time. It doesn't take long to get to 20 right now. But it sounds like people want the goodies Tally is handing out and SB is coming in 800xp.
As for WP...its one of my faves. I just learnt two important things about it.
1) It doesn't handle debuffs very well...be it -def or -end. It just can't handle those well in my experience.
2) To handle an alpha. you must open with a power that can break the spawn up abit. My StJ/WP brute uses Spinning Strike as his opening move. Its not optimal for dps but it breaks up the pack enough to lessen the alpha I find. Of course, I might just be deluding myself. But he did basically tank both the Citadel and Numina TFs and split from the teams a fair bit in the Sister P and Manticore TFs.

Or, here's a crazy thought, I just reroll Moxie Girl as a tanker.
"Hey guys, I just realized I'm not actually bulletproof so I got this nifty shield!"
Mmm... Speed Boost. Almost forgot to make a keybind that say SB plz!!! that I can spam over and over and over and over...
The more I think about it, the more I'm liking the Shield idea.
"Hey guys, I just realized I'm not actually bulletproof so I got this nifty shield!"
I laughed myself silly at that!
Your choice, SF. Mox or Tally as the tank, but somebody as to protect Shakes from himself.

Tank it is. Working on the always delightful multiple respecs and emailing of stuff.
Ok question? Mouse, when we change alignments, can we go straight up Villain? Second, do we play without xp while running tips so that we don't miss to much content?
Third, reroll, reroll, reroll. Go for whatever you guys want. We need to feel comfortable with our characters, so I'm all for it.
As for shakeup. I have played Tanks so much, and this is my first Dom, so I am feeling my way through it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it
Moxie would work as a Tank, definitely.
Tally, up to you, but the support you provide is good. But your call.
Double post, lol. Roll call for tomorrow night. Shakeup will be there.
New, tankier Moxie Girl will be there to smash some dudes' heads in.
Metal Fission will be there.
Finished up a 1/3 of a bar short of 14. This week has been mind-bogglingly messed up, otherwise I would have made it further.
See you all at 7 PM ET.

Good sized patch, may want to get on that now if you haven't already.
Alright, made it to level 20 to catch up with the rest of you.
Guess we can start running tips tonight then!

Hi there! Out of curiosity, I was wondering whether you guys happen to have any free spots remaining, which I'll totally understand if you don't. Basically, I'm a long-time roleplayer, but a newcomer to COH, and I was enticed into playing by the idea of combining my love for MMOs and RP. And what better way to try and get my start than to try and join in with you guys? =P.
Anyway, I just thought it'd be worth a shot to ask, and I look forward to your responses.
We've been running with about 5 most Thursdays, so it shouldn't be a big problem. Character needs to be a mutant, and more Punisher than Superman on the morals end of things wouldn't hurt given the general theme that bull has set for this group. We're all around level 20-21 right now.
Well that sounds perfect! The character I'm running right now, Homestretch, is both a mutant and at level fifteen presently, so it shouldn't be any trouble at all to get him up to snuff.
And the Punisher morality works perfectly as well - he's a speedster, who literally just runs around and beats up criminals with a baseball bat.
You can link up with the team next week. I am travelling for work, but will be back after that and shouldn't be on the road again until spring time. We are definitely a black ops team with a whatever happens happens attitude. Some stay on the light side and just hurt people, while others of us do a bit more.
Hey everyone, sorry for leaving so abruptly, but a 2.5 year old niece wanting to play doesn't wait for nobody, lol.
Anyways, Shakeup is out of town this week for work (for real), and I'll be back next week.
Moxie Girl will be there, barring horrific unforeseen circumstances. Not sure what we want to do, but I'm sure we'll think of something.
Will we actually be meeting on Thursday this week?
I'll be having Thanksgiving dinner with friends, so GitG is out for this week. Sorry.

Regarding the tanker question, I have a Science origin Ice/Ice at 21 right now, The Abdominal Snowman, that we could use. He's a super nice, world famous model who's about as smart as a sack of hammers. He assumed his powers to be from a Crey experiment, but could just as easily have come from a dormant mutation that allowed him to escape captivity (he doesn't actually remember what happened between getting grabbed and waking up in a ditch).
I can always switch over to him and leave Moxie Girl. I don't know if we really 'need' a tanker, or just a change in tactics (no banzai charge!).
P.S. Willpower sucks. As much as I'm enjoying StJ, I'm hating WP. You'd think I would learn to stop rolling WP toons.
