New Bane Spider Build Questions
1. Do the powers from Mace Mastery use the same mace as your normal attacks? I seem to remember it needing a different one once, but I could be wrong.

Yes. Mids' is overly optimistic on this point.
It procs, but there's no visual cue to tell you it has procced. Look in the Healing Delivered channel and you'll see the announcement of it proccing.
1. It was my impression from forum feedback that Mace Mastery attacks wouldn't cause redraw for the mace-using Bane. The mace models themselves are different, you just end up using whichever one you pull out of your pants first. I haven't tried it myself, yet, though, can anyone clarify?
2. Nope, no hero epics, only villain epics.
3. Gaussian's will and does check every 10 seconds to go off; when it does, it will put an icon in your buff bar that looks *exactly* like SR's Quickness icon. That's the only visual cue, so it's really hard to tell.
4. Something to consider for your build is that in I21, the first three powers in every travel pool will be available at lvl 4. I am planning on taking advantage of that on my bane to drop crappy Wolf Spider Armor, and taking Hasten or Combat Jumping at 4.
Glancing at your build, I'd say drop CT:O for Venom, the debuff is just too good. Placate and Web Cocoon are personal playstyle choices, I'm going for double assault and Web Envelope, so i can stop scatter when fighting large mobs solo. Here's what I'm looking at for I21, for reference:

Since I did have level 41 pending and was expecting to respec anyway, I tried out Mace Mastery. It does not cause you to redraw a different mace. Though the way I worded my question, I think Redlynne may also be correct in that the mace is still different, that's my fault for asking the wrong question.
Telperion your build is almost identical to mine. And yes the Cardiac Core is needed because he is an endurance piggie. One thing though, this build will out damage my BS/Shield Scrapper in terms of dps.

3. I currently have the Gaussian Build Up proc in my TT: Leadership power, but I never notice it proccing. It's very possible that I just never notice it, but it's been in there for a while. Does it not proc in that? I thought such enhancements had a chance to go off every 10 seconds in a toggle power.

I honestly cannot stand the redraw for venome grenade, so I skipped it. Hence I cannot live without cocoon, it's one of the best single hold in the game, given the sweet rech debuff and the fairly long duration.
Trying to plan out my 41 Bane Spider for IO sets and such, but a few questions are holding me back.
1. Do the powers from Mace Mastery use the same mace as your normal attacks? I seem to remember it needing a different one once, but I could be wrong.
2. Do I only get Patron pools? MIDS tells me I can get a few others (I was considering Earth Mastery), but the normal epic pools aren't appearing for me.
3. I currently have the Gaussian Build Up proc in my TT: Leadership power, but I never notice it proccing. It's very possible that I just never notice it, but it's been in there for a while. 4. Finally, I could probably use some generic build advice. This build is messy, to say the least. I didn't take the ranged powers because they normally aren't that useful for me and the knockback bothers the few groups I join. I took several things I didn't really want early in the build because I couldn't fit things I did want in there yet. Skipped the pets and venom grenade because I didn't feel like I had room. I mostly play solo or duo with a Mind/Energy Dominator just doing whichever missions are convenient at the time, if that helps.
