Powers gone!

Earlier in the day I was on a Lambda and one of the players was complaining that their powers were gone. We assumed it was the players first trial and explained that almost all temp powers were disabled.. but the player insisted it wasn't the temps his primary and secondary powers along with the temps were missing from his trays. I can't recall exactly what he did about it and may have actually just given up and quit.

Later in the evening I was on another Lambda and when we arrived in zone there was a slight flash, for lack of a beti was ter way to describe it, and just like the player earlier I was staring a 8 icon trays that prior to entering the queue and zoning into the trial map were full.. now absolutely nothing was in any of them. Hoping that someone knew some slash command I could use I broadcast me problem in league chat and unfortunately the only advice anyone could give was relog. I let the league leader know, logged off and back on and sure enough all my powers were back. I rejoined the trial just in time to battle Maurader and thankfully despite my long period away from the trial I was given an uncommon for my partici[pation.

What I am curious about is if anyone else has experiemced this lately on any of the three trials. Let me add a bit more to the information.. At one point someone suggested I just go to the powers tab and drag all my powers back into the trays howver when i accessed that it didn't show a single power either so I was just completely stuck. I could move of course but had none of my defenses turned on and no way to launch an attack of any kind. My only recourse was to log offf and back on to basically reboot my power trays.

I have a screen shot of this but have yet to load it so i can post it here but if this is an ongoing problem I didn't want to wait anymore before reporting it. Hopefully it doesn't occur again but if it does and ANYONE knows a slash command that will recitfy the situation I'd love to know what it is.

Yes, a friend had that happen to him Monday night. He sent me a picture of 5 empty power trays. It was on a BAF, and just before that he was "solo" on a Lambda (the rest of the league seen him, but he couldn't see anyone on the league list but himself).

This happened to me earlier in the day as well. I was on a BAF went to load the map, crashed.. relogged into the game, rejoined the trial in progress. Loaded up the zone and all my tray slots were empty. I had assumed that the tray power wipe was related to one that had happened years ago and was rearing its ugly head again. I opened up my powers tab to drop my powers back in my tray and there was just a blank page, no powers were showing. Checked the enhancer screen and it as blank as well.

The problem fixed itself towards the end of the trial. It was sort of like my character loaded but then it took a few minutes for my power data to load and catch up with my character.

I haven't heard anyone complain about losing all of their powers, but I have seen one person mention that all of his Incarnate powers disappeared during a BAF. The second thing that Snow Globe mentioned has happened to me and a few others. I started lagging a bit during a Prisoner phase of a BAF, then suddenly was being displayed as not part of the League or the team. I crashed soon after and came back. Missed an Astral or two but got a Very Rare.

I've also seen a return of a bug with trials where the Accept/Decline window's sound plays, but the window itself doesn't pop up. It had happened to me and to a few others in the first week or so of Trials, but not again until this last weekend, where it happened to me on two BAFs in a row.

Trials may have lost most of their server lag, but they seem to have gained a few new bugs and seen the return of some older ones that had disappeared for months.

My fiance sort of had this happen to him, he has at least T2 in everything (T2 Interface, T3 Destiny/Lore/Judgement, T4 Alpha) and just after the start of his BAF trial (about halfway through the Warworks), all of his incarnate powers disappeared. (He may or may not have been the person Ms. Mesmer is talking about! lol) He died a horrible, neglected death as we pawed through all his settings and windows to see if something would bring them back but couldn't figure anything out. He finished the BAF and quit for the night after sending a petition in. The next morning, I logged him in before going to work and his powers were back.

(The petition response later in the morning was a generic copy/paste "we couldn't find anything wrong, we're glad you got your problem fixed without us! if you still need help, please respond!")

I've had a lot of similar problems. People promoting me in the league, then having their window change but not mine, keeping me from having the powers. I've had my incarnate stuff disappear, had one bug that was really weird, locked me in a sit position and wouldn't let me move until someone teleported me (I would jump up and down in place).

All of these were in the early days of the BAF trial though, and always happened during escapee (except the league thing, which happened a few days ago)

I have had this happen to me a few times while farming AE.
BTW you might not have any powers apparantly but your toggles and anythign you have set to auto still work even if they seemingly don't exist.
Interestingly enough, I have also had an issue twice where I kpet my powers but lost all of my incarnate abilities.

BTW this only started happenign to me after their hardware "upgrades".

Also had the one where its as if you are no longer on a league even tho you are: everyone appears blue, and you dont have the use of the league team window.

Both correct themselves are a minute or two, but its very frustrating when it happens

Happened to me last night on a BAF.

I finally logged to desktop and logged back in, and that fixed it.

EDIT: When this first happened, I only lost my incarnate powers.

My character was stuck in the "knockback" animation for a moment and then when I was able to move, the incarnate powers were missing from the tray - but my other powers were still there. I went to my powers list and everything was there but incarnate powers. Then I went to the incarnate power tab which showed five unlocked slots with nothing slotted and nothing available to slot.

I asked one of my teammates and he told me I still appeared to be 50 +3.

I start typing up a /bug when I did the knockback animation again, and that's when the rest of my powers vanished.

This power disappearance has happened to me twice over the last month, once on a trial, and for the other time I don't recall the team/mission setup. In both cases, I used /netgraph and noticed a large red spike at the moment the powers disappeared. When I was on the trial, the powers did come back after a short time. In the other case, I zoned and the problem was resolved.

In another possibly related case, I was on a Lambda trial about 3 days ago, and my league and team windows lost all their contents, displaying only the large quit button. League and team member names also changed to the colors I'd expect if I had left my team/league. I continued to play as if nothing had happened; no one else seemed to notice or have this problem. After a few minutes, the window appeared normal again and the character names returned to the correct teammate/leaguemate coloring. Netgraph showed a red spike at the start of this issue as well.

Well the ghost maps were around before and they had to introduce the /sync command as a temporary fix but the empty powers is new. Hopefully it's just related to the server upgrades and should go away after freedom launches

I had a issue like this , but on a ITF, Screen flashed. Half my powers were grayed out (not missing). I Am level 50+++ , but, after the flash, my level 50 symbol was overlayd with the level up arrow. I zoned out, and back in, and it was fixed.

Also. last week. I hit some lag while zoning into a lambda, and , Instead of lambda, I was in some level 3's Goldside mission. I helped him with the mission and we exchanged goodbyes and I left, keep in mind, I was on a level 50 brute.

Weird Stuff
