The "Heavy" Series of Badges in RV
You young whippersnappers and your badges that count for everyone on your team... I earned Back from the Future when you needed 1000 pillboxes -and- they did NOT count for teams. Of course I also earned it back when you could get a pair of players (one hero, one villain) to camp a single pillbox and simply click on it back a forth even while you were lying next to it dead. Darn those Devs and their silly fixes.

i think they could still take some +speed, but they have a much lower cap on speed than anything else so sb would be more like half of sprint instead of walk speed lol

In response to numerous player complaints and exploitive behavior, the following changes were made to the Longbow and Arachnos Heavies used in Recluse Victory:
|
Triumph: White Succubus: 50 Ill/Emp/PF Snow Globe: 50 Ice/FF/Ice Strobe: 50 PB Shi Otomi: 50 Ninja/Ninjistu/GW Stalker My other characters

Plus, I was working on the healing badges with my scrapper. I would set the Heavy to take out the pillboxes and I would stand out of the line of fire and do nothing but use Aid Other on the Heavy.

A little late to the party, but I don't believe anyone mentioned the Pillbox-Kill method, which should be faster than logging on/off.
Grab a heavy and then head to the nearest neutral pillbox (Much shorter distance than enemy drones). Have all armors turned off, stand in the middle so all 4 turrets have a shot, and you'll be dead in seconds.
Both heroes/villains have a heavy spawn as well as a pillbox right near their base.
This method, there's no need for a friend, tedious retyping of your password, zoning, or treks across the map.
If you get lucky, maybe someone will gank you on the way to the pillbox, to save you some time!

You slacker, you. I got all of my pillboxes back then and I did it the hard way. I didn't even take enemy pillboxes, which were easier. I only took out the neutral pillboxes. Because.... they gave crazy big rewards. And I did a lot of them during off hours on a Double XP Weekend.

Really, I have found that a given heavy lasts for maybe two pillboxes tops. One could just take heavy, kill the 2 pills, then grab a new one. Not really the most efficient farming of the badge, but the "lewt" from a pill is, as you said, not too bad.
SB does help those heavies get around better, but not like it used to. Farming in RV with a kin really was a great way to get some nice stuff on a non-farming toon back in the day. :/
The absolute fastest way to do requires an assistant of the opposite faction and an inspiration tray of 20 awakens (and ideally an email inventory of 20 awakens). Find a Heavy that's still at its spawn point, grab it, and have someone kill you next to that spawn point. Pop an awaken, grab the heavy again, rinse and repeat until you run out of awakens. Then, go get more (ouro, Atlas/RV contacts, whatever) and come back.
The logout to character menu option is only a little slower though, if you can't find a willing player of the opposite faction to assist you.
Rule number six of an empathy defender is NEVER underestimate a blaster's ability to die. I don't care if he has CM, Fort, both RAs, bubbles (both FF and Sonic), and is fighting next to a Storm defender with hurricane on. If there is a way to die in that situation, the blaster will find it.
