So who's coming to Dragon*Con?

So Paragon Studios isn't coming to Dragon*Con this year. I've begged and pleaded, and I haven't given up hope that one year they'll come, but it seems that PAX always either 1) interferes, being held the same weekend, or 2) is close enough that they can't do two cons in a row like that.

With players probably from the whole Southeast (and probably some from further away) coming, I was wondering if anyone has maybe thought about having a player meet-and-greet? It doesn't necessarily have to be part of Dragon*Con, but still, if we have enough people interested, maybe we can get a room reserved at a restaurant or something where we can have dinner, meet and talk with our fellow players, maybe even have a contest or something?

Anyway, post a reply if you're going to be here that weekend (September 2 - 5), and if we have enough people interested, maybe we can set something up.

P.S. Here's this year's guest list in case you're considering whether or not you should come. Some really impressive names are in there!

We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
(If you love this game as much as I do, please read that post.)

I'm in the ATL and always forget about this until the last minute and have always wanted to go. If there's a meet and greet I'll be up for it.

Not for us this year, as its too close to my wife's due date.

I might be persuaded to show up. A lot depends on how close to being done my bathroom renovation is. It's going slooowww....

So even if it's not literally at Dragon*Con (since it's probably way too late to get anything officially sanctioned by the convention), I was thinking more along the lines of maybe just having a meet-and-greet at a restaurant in or around Atlanta Saturday night or something during Dragon*Con weekend? Or a picnic at Stone Mountain? A World of Coca-Cola/Georgia Aquarium tour? A romp through CNN Center? I'm not a big fan of Buckhead or the club scene.

I'm way OTP by Lanier so it takes a bit to get me coaxed into the downtown area. Food is always good and good food is even better.

It's in the South-East? How far away from Rzeszow is it? I might be able to make it.

What he said. I'm attending.

But if I read correctly, CoH is not attending this year?

Weren't they there last year? There was a panel, and I thought the speakers were from the company...

Just an idle thought, but while there isn't food close by, there is always space available in the Gaming (non-MMO) room. Last year it was a whole floor in the Hilton (where they had the BattleTech pods).
