Help for a new Elec/Elec
Having recently 50'd a Dark/Dark Tank my latest project is an Elec/Elec Tank. I'd like some help from the community for the build. However, if you don't mind I'd like to keep the price down. I'm mainly concerned with Recharge since Energize seems to be one of the keys of the set.
So, without Purple Sets, PvP IOs or a pile of Kinetic Combats, how do I get a solid build with near-perma Energize? Thanks in advance for the help. |
I don't have the build with me at work, but I used one of Auroxis's elec armor builds to put together the final plan for an elec/elec I'm leveling up. His final build has him at 32.5% def to all positions, 90% resist to E, 70% to S/L, 50% to everything else but N, 400+% regen with energize, and all this without any PVPs or purps. Not to mention the added mitigation of firing Power Sink every chance you get. If I remind myself to do it, I'll post the data chunk up once I get home.

Power sink and lightnimg field do a great job at sucking your enemies dry and preventing them from attacking you. It will make it much easier time the moments you need to use a purple inspiration. Your best method of attack would be open with lightning rod then crank power sink. It should recharge within 20 seconds, enough to drain every mob you encounter.
I dont really know what to say
Electric Armour and the Soft cap
Electric Armour and the 1st 20 levels
Thundra Knight
click here for You want the best TANK!? I'll let you decicde!
I have an elec/kin tank and my main focus was defense and end drain. He has now 45% s/l and 30% n/ne. He's nearly indestructible. I think if you want to make a solid build you should have at least 32.5% s/l defense (one purple insp away fron soft cap). N/NE is not as important as you already have alot of resist against NE, but it's a very nice add if you can get some eradications slotted in. I have noticed that Energize doesn't really make that much differense.
As Destiny iPower I got Rebirth. Once you get it to T4 you have a permanent 50 hp/s regen which keeps you alive against pretty much anything. I chose as my alpha Cardiac: res/end, got it T4 now. As Judgement I have the end draining branch of Ion which is totally kick azz combined with Mu Mastery and Power Sink. In any case Power sink + electric fences + ball lightning drains all end from the enemies, but Ion is good if you you have a bigger mob as Power sink can only drain 10 enemies at once.
With this build I have many times tanked AM in Keyes trial without any support and without dying, except in cases when you're unlocky to get hit by one of his big hitters and the wave :P.
Anyway, hope this gives you some insight in the build.
The Man is the Disciple and Pain his Master
My Disciples on Freedom:
Dark Access - LVL 50+3 Dark/Dark/Stone Mastery, Master of debuff and Control
Healing Aoi - LVL 50+3 Empathy/Archery/Power Mastery, Defender Blaster hybrid
Mega Electron - LVL 50+3 Electrical Armor/Kinetic Melee/Mu Mastery, Spanker
Max Fource - LVL 50+3 Fiery Aura/Electrical Melee/Pyre Mastery, Blanker (Blaster+tanker)
My new Tank General-Electric is at lvl 16 and making his way through Praetoria thanks to a few good teams, some soloing and the 90% Energy Resist he has (Clockwork use lots of that apparently). I've tanked purple bosses already with a few choice Insps and the occasional heal from the team so I must be doing something right lol.
I look forward to joining the Blueside soon.
