I don't disagree about it being a good build. However, it is quite expensive. Enzymes and the Gladiator's are probably not something to include in a farming build because the goal of farming is to make INF. If you don't have the INF to buy those things, this build is less effective than intended. If you have the INF, it is likely that you don't need a farming character.

For farming, I would suggest 32.5% F/C defense on a cheap build. That lets you fit in enough recharge to keep the damage up and achieve perma-Hasten. Inspirations will drop often although you may not need them. In addition, a Brute would be a better choice.

It all depends on the type of farming the OC is doing. I like to farm on certain map the IS NOT AE. Plus a tank can farm just as good as a brute if built right. As far as the OC you need more damage put in the build and the Purples are not helping. Try switching the aegis out for reactive armor you only need 4 of them and switch out melee with makos bite which will help you with damage and with def on a full set.

Statements like these make you look like you don't know what you're talking about.

When farming, inspirations can frequently drop enough to help a player reach their damage cap, so consider Burn, Foot Stomp, and Blazing Aura at the damage caps for both ATs as they are the biggest sources of AoE damage.

Tanker
Burn: 107.4 base * 400% = 429.6
Foot Stomp: 63.2 base * 400% = 252.8
Blazing Aura: 9.79 base * 400% = 39.16

Brute
Burn: 103.4 base * 775% = 801.35
Foot Stomp: 59.2 base * 775% = 458.8
Blazing Aura: 9.18 base * 775% = 71.15

As you can see, the Brute does almost double the damage of a Tanker in an optimal situation. Consider a situation with a single Rage buff, no inspirations, and 75% Fury for the Brute if an optimal situation is too rare for you.

Tanker
Burn: 107.4 base * (1 base + .8 Rage + .95 slotting) = 295.35
Foot Stomp: 63.2 base * (1 + .8 + .95) = 173.8
Blazing Aura: 9.79 base * (1 + .8 + .95) = 26.92

Brute
Burn: 103.4 base * (1 + .8 + .95 + 1.5 fury) = 439.45
Foot Stomp: 59.2 base * 775% = 251.6
Blazing Aura: 9.18 base * 775% = 39.02

Brute still out-damages the Tanker by a large margin in a cheap build farming scenario with no inspirations. To say that "Tankers can farm as well as Brutes" is ignoring the facts. A more accurate statement would be, "Brutes are better at farming, but Tankers can perform well."

I have Farmed many times with said ss/fire tanks not just 1 but a few on my Fire/Fire tank and I always out kill them Mainly ppl keep forgetting about rage crash that they do minimal damage for a certain time, while my fire/fire dose not. Granted if it was a fire/fire brute then yes they would most likely out do my tank on damage. That is why I like Fire/Fire better.

The ideal farmer has "just enough" survivability and as much AOE damage as possible. Brutes can easily get enough survivability and can throw more damage, so they're the more efficient choice.

That said, Tanker would always be a safer choice, which might be a better option for some players. If you go Tanker, then Fire Melee may well be a better choice than SS. You get an additional AOE and Fiery Embrace becomes a very nice addition to all your attacks.

Recharge, recharge, recharge, and damage procs make a good farm build.

so 2 two things yes good buildbut 3bil is in there less expense love build good farm kill fight do whatever

but i need advice please reply cuz i have no idea so im making either a tank or a brute with the sets stone armor and elec melee. but i need advice on deciding AT so if choose brute i dont have to worry about the little -30% but stone armor has much better def and res which AT should i choose? i really need responces kay

If you are farming, get melee sets in jab and punch. There is no reason to cut your damage down if you are farming. Even on teams it is not necessary to have that much taunt. Crushing Impact is good because it has a bonus to recharge rate.

Uber Talgrim - level 50 emp/dark defender
Uber Rod - level 50 dark melee/regen scrapper
Rod Valdr - level 50 invuln/SS tanker
Talgrim - level 50 ninja/dark mastermind

OMG!! Please add these costume designs now!

Stone Armor is not a good build for Farming if that what you want it for. 1 it moves slow, 2 recharge is slowed down in granite, 3 you can not really jump if you need too. All of those mentioned is when u are in granite or rooted or both. But if you are not in either of those then you are susceptible to KB and holds and such.

well here is the thing i am getting those sets but i have thinking of lightning rod for it so i would have a travel power it would be useful cuz you teleport to location but im not farming fire on it if you guys want that just send a tell to my glob @Santicus and ask for Killer. Queen2 to farm with you

anyways i guess im getting brute cuz of fury thx

now back to forums original thing i have 4 different epic sets that work like god farming do thier of these sets and it works Earth mastery/Fire Mastery/Energy Mastery/and Mu Mastery

try those those are my farming picks

yea nvm the first post lets get back to topic

Posted

so far with out the purps and HO's i am able to farm +4/x8 fire farms with ease and no problem with the def so it all works out for the less expensive stuff to buy

Wow- you are spending some money on that farming build. For me, if I was dropping that kind of influence on a farming build it would have to be for the best farmer. If you have the influence, disregard the rest of my post and enjoy your build.

_____________

If you are making a max farming build- Reroll as a brute. I have fire/fire tank, fire/fire scrapper and ss/fire brute. Guess what? SS/FIRE brute is farm king by a mile these days.

Syntax has it right when he says, "Brutes are better at farming, but Tankers can perform well." If anything, I think he was being kind in his description of "well." I would say, "okay." Again I have a fire/fire in both tank and scrapper. I wish they were as successful at farming as the Brute but they are not.

Cheers
