Slash Commands for email?

I frequently send small (or large) amounts of inf to myself so that starting characters are not penniless. Now of course I can do this through the email tab but I find it clunky and annoying. There does however exist two slash commands to do with email.

/emailsend - Send message <player names> <subject> <body> <influence>
/emailsendattachment - Send message <player names> <subject> <body> <influence>

However in game neither seem to work.

Does anyone know how to make them work?

/emailsendattachment @Roderick Money 999999999 0 0 Enjoy!

Please type it EXACTLY like that. *heh heh heh*

The first argument is the name of the recipient. The second is the title of the email; put it in quotes if it's more than one word long. The third is the amount of inf you want to send. The fourth and fifth are integers, and I have no idea what they do. The sixth is the message body. Again, if it's more than one word, put it in quotes.

Remember, when sending attachments through email that is has to be sent to the Global Name, not the character name.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

How would one use this with a space in their global?
/emailsendattachment "@chaos almighty" Test 1 0 0 Test?
Doesn't work

"Emails with an attachment may only go to a single recipient."

There is apparently a flaw with the /emailsendattachment command and how it parses text.

If you put the global name in quotes due to it containing a space it is interpreting it as being sent to multiple recipients.

If you don't put the global name in quotes it doesn't appear to be sending it at all. My inf value didn't change when I sent it without quotes and I got no error messages. Since my global name is @Texas Justice I can't send inf using the emailsendattachment slash command.

I also can't seem to get the /emailsend to work either and I get no error messages there.

Seems to be bugged.

Just a thought, not tried it myself, but what if you'd use @"Texas Justice" ?

Just finished logging out or I'd try that, but I suspect it would fail since the @ is part of the string for the global name.

I'll give it a try tomorrow. I've already filed a /bug report in game with the information in my previous post.

Try using @Global_Name_Here <-- underscores. I'm heading to bed with a splitting, eyeball-melting headache or I'd pop into game to try it myself. I know there was a time when some folks were having trouble sending global mails and that was one temporary solution.

Tried that, using TJ's Global (since my own is only one word), and I got what TJ got on his test -- no inf change, no error message returned.

Same deal here, tried exclamation marks (") and underscores but neither worked. :/

Think I will /bug it in game, might get it fixed probably won't.

Did you try without the spaces at all? I dimly recall that being a solution to some kind of E-mail related problem, but no clue what the problem was. (Or even if it was just a dream >.>)

Yeah, same issue here. I can send it as long as the name, global or otherwise, only has one word, but otherwise the email simply ends up... somewhere.

I doubt that would be the solution. If so, how would the system decide if the email was intended for "@Someguy" or "@Some Guy"?

Still unable to send to myself. Underscores, spaces, no spaces (Roderick is correct that the system would not be able to distinguish @Texas Justice and @TexasJustice), quotation marks around the entire thing, quotation marks after the @ and surrounding Texas Justice were all tried. Nothing works.

If pohsyb were still with Paragon Studios, I'd send him a PM. Since he's having fun working at Apple, I won't bother him. Not sure if The Television would be best for sending this to or one of the Arbiters.
