Pah! I remember the Hollows when it had only Outcasts and Trolls! And they were all at x8 size mobs, and were higher level! And we had to RUN everywhere, being pelted with rocks! None of these fancy-shmancy jetpacks and ninja runnin'...

Now GET ORF MAH LAWN!

The fact the low level arcs are getting completely re-done (as far as I know from reading Dev posts etc) negates the replacement arc argument.
It does nothing of the sort.

I have to agree Memphis_Bill that the AE spam is primarily based on the Freedom server. On Pinnacle, I cannot remember when the last time was that I saw a broadcast message for something related to AE. Sure, AE teams are forming frequently, but usually it is because an SG/Coalition/global chat channel set it up within themselves. So while I completely agree that those kinds of messages should not be the first thing that new players see available, I cannot see the justification for removing it from Atlas due to a server-specific issue.

As for the RWZ reasoning: It is the only co-op AE available and should therefore stay. In terms of "how it got built / how it remains standing" I was likewise curious about that not too long ago, and after investigating, I seem to remember finding police drones surrounding the lower permeter, possibly the upper level doors as well.

@Winter. Because I'm Winter. Period.
I am a blaster first, and an alt-oholic second.

Not Police Drones.
Heavy Vanguard Assault Suits. Which tend to 1-2 shot anything in range. Given there are two on each side, alongside turrets, it's not hard to see how nothings got within arms reach of it, at least mechanics wise

This thought came to me while I was carrying some LotG Rech IO's from Fort Trident to WWs and watching Atlas broadcast. It is a never ending stream of power level advertisements and requests. While I have no issue with people choosing to use the AE to power level their toons, I do not think that this is the first side of the game new players should be exposed to. Not to mention that if I understand the free player access correctly, free players can not join AE teams. Imagine how frustrating that would be. You load in to the first zone and find that you can not participate in 90% of the teams being formed. Remove AE from Atlas Park and the power levelers can move their operations to Steel Canyon (which has better facilities anyway with the university crafting tables right next to WWs.)
No worries Free to Play people won't have Access to it unless they buy it form the Store, and Premium have Limited Access to it. Also Agree that AE in low Zones is a bad Idea for Noob and New player to begin with. Right now AE is bad, but once Issue 21 comes out, I think things will dull down alot with AE.

I still like the free floating AE building in the void outside Pocket D idea. Especially if they could make the visible building be at an odd angle or even upside down but have everyone be upright as normal inside it. Which would either be amazingly difficult or require cutting corners, I believe. But it'd still be cool.

Just like Arena terminals are there.

These points were all mentioned plenty of times when the AE was in beta, as was the excessive number of AE buildings. Unfortunately Posi and the other devs thought they knew best.

To paraphrase : Positron was wrong.
