Getting one's own toons into one's SG

Given that (I assume) there STILL is no way to invite one's toons into one's SG, what would you do when you got an ex-villain turned hero and you're the last active player in your blue SG?

invite someone you trust to the SG momentairly (perhaps by getting them to start a new character) to invite him.

Make a second account, even if you le it laps to a veteran account with Freedom, I think (though i'd have to go and check) that it could act as an inviter for you.

Before you invite anyone into your sg for the specific purpose of inviting your alt - make sure your permissions are set to not allow the lowest ranking members any access to your storage bins.

You can change the permissions once your alt is in.

Ifd you are the last player in the SG then that means you have the Super Leader rank and can easily set the SG permissions so that the lowest rank can only invite other people into the SG. And if you have Storage bins you can temporarily set their permissions so that no one but you the Leader can take anything out.

Then once you've secured the base you can ask a friend to join and invite as many alts as you like to the SG.

Once that's done and you've kicked the helper from the SG you can reset the base permissions to their regular settings.

If you don't have someone you can invite to the SG for purposes of inviting members, oftentimes, you can get a volunteer if you post in the Base Construction forum.

I have done this for a couple of fellow SG heirs (you inherited an SG) by creating a throwawy alt for just that purpose.

Doesn't an alt need to be a certain level to join a SG?

I have some Level 1 and Level 2 characters in my SG. They were fillers from my second account created when they did the huge prestige grant a few years ago.

Quite a few people back then were creating throwaway alts on other servers for people to invite to their SG since they were awarding a large amount per member. Those people would then reciprocate by making throwaways alts on the first persons servers for the same reason.

I think I still have a dozen alts on one of the servers from doing that. They all look alike and are named similarly (TJ Alt 1, TJ Alt 2, etc).

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.

Well I'll need to switch from Rogue to Hero (which should only take a couple days) before I get that toon in my SG... Might actually switch both my remaining villains as well, no one plays redside on Vigilance anymore. :-p
