That said, quick question - are you running an ATI graphics card, and are you running the 11.6 drivers? If so, th 11.6 drivers have had awful crashing problems with COH. Apparently the preview 11.7 are working, and (for me) the 11.5 works fine (others have said they had to go even earlier.)
I had to go all the way back to 11.2 on my 5770.

Just to cover a couple quick points. How much RAM your graphics card has isn't as important as what kind of gpu it is, when it comes to Ultra Mode settings in this game.
And for a point of reference, my Win7 machine doesn't crash in CoH except in rare cases. The info you gave is limited, so I cant compare, but I'm pretty sure it's not an issue with 64 bit processors or Win7.

Since no one pointed it out after you said you couldn't find it - The Technixal Issues & Bugs forum is a sub-forum of the Development section. That is the section right above the one containing this forum and also has the training room forum.
In that forum is a "read this first" post - has instructions for HijackThis and CoH helper. Both are diagnostic tools, and the helper (which basically gives you a nice trimmed DXDiagnostics log) seems like it is defiantly worth running in your case.

sorry if this is the wrong thread for this, but I can't seem to find a for with the heading 'technical help'.
I have a multi-core 64 bit win 7 comp. 8 gigs of ram, 1 gig video ram. I can't play this game long before it simply crashes, I have my graphics setting up pretty high, I cant quite max it because the game starts acting funky with all the settings up there.
Any solutions?
