I was so lucky with Very Rares. On my main character, I was able to get all of my Incarnate powers unlocked and Tier 4'd in just 5 days after the launch of Issue 20. It was awesome and will never happen again.

It's not just the ascension armour; all costume pieces from the booster packs, special editions and Incarnate system influence your component drop chance in trials.
Why do you think some peoples' costumes look so terrible? They're min-maxing their chances of v.rares.

I heard you can get *THREE* VRs in a row if you have all the Ascension pieces unlocked (and on your costume), AND you wear cat girl ears.

Also, if you use the "Rock" Temp Power from the Halloween Event on any of the AVs during an Incarnate Trial, that nets you a Very Rare too.
(I have anecdotal evidence to back this up, so its not like I'm making it up).

If you're a tanker and you deal the final blow to the AV you get a VR because of their "Death Dealing" powers. I call it the front line bonus.

I've never had a Very Rare component drop from the trials, but right after changing my main's hero costume to use Ascension Radiance pieces, I got two Very Rares in a row. Is this Paragon Studios' way of making us wear the shiny new uniforms? This is a really bad idea. CoH's greatest strength has always been in the character customisation, and it saddens me to see they are forcing us all to wear the same glowy armor instead.
Disclaimer: This is not a serious post. I did get my first two VRares in a row right after changing into my Ascension outfit, but that was probably a coincidence and the Ascension Armor probably doesn't influence what drops you get.
