So about these wonderful Carnival of Light masks...
At one point they mentioned plans to give players access to a lot of the NPC pieces. As a guess, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up being purchasable with Paragon Points.
Arc #40529 : The Furies of the Earth
The Distinguished Competition has an "evening" skirt it lets players wear.
It is hideously ugly, and I for one have no desire to see it over here. Its ugly and the animations look stupid with it.
They have a lot of costume parts I'd give my left arm to see in this game, but that fugly skirt is not one of them.
Now as for Carnie masks, I'd like to see those. The skirt argument is a fail though.
i like the masks as well, hopefully they are something we see eventually. one thing i like about that pic is that most of the other parts include player accessable costume parts, and the masks themselves appear to be base items with other parts (the halo-ish thing and the wing) added on as details. now, that doesnt actually guarantee anything, but in line with the statement that they were trying to make new npc groups with player costumes in mind, and given the high demand for "carnie" parts in the one all things art thread, it at least suggests that these were designed with quick portability to players as a consideration. hope springs eternal and all that. they did mention the two costume sets we were getting in i21 were the idf set and that tights set, but perhaps we have seen a vip perk, or something on which to spend our stipend?
hmm, might have to "unlock" them if they are available for Players. Perhaps a "defeat" requirement? A mission arc unlock? I wouldn't mind getting a hand on these... but maybe a package deal with the Light and Dark carnies is in order?

These are going to be available for players to wear, right, David and Jay? Right?
I know you guys wouldn't go repeating the situations where you made all kinds of flowing robes and dresses and then never let players wear them.
Right?
Please reassure me.
