New Tutorial Approach Sounds Awesome!
I agree that it sounds pretty cool. I too will miss Galaxy City. Pretty much any new blueside toon that I start these days (not that I do that many of them) avoids the Atlas Park-crush by going to Galaxy. But hey, the tutorial will be different, which is long overdue.

Regardless most of us were not using Galaxy and yes I had toons started there one hit 50. As much as we may liked it Galaxy City has been a ghost town for a long time. The fact they are reusing it in a very fresh way is nice to see.
Now how will this effect teleporters? The hero bases we have built most of them have GC as a place to go. Will that continue or do we lose that location?
And if not will villains be able to get the beacon and have a link there as well.
Regardless my wife sees a headache in her future.
We will miss Galaxy City but a new any character archtype play zone that is not Prat I am happy about.

UltraTroll, as per the interview found on http://www.onrpg.com/MMO/City-of-Her...rview--Freedom :
Meta: Will we still have access to Galaxy City outside the tutorial? If we do will Galaxy City look messed up or will it look as we know it to be now?
Brian: You can access the original Galaxy City by travelling back in time through Ouroboros. But the new and devastated Galaxy City is far too dangerous for players to go back to. Its a no mans land that even the Freedom Phalanx is having troubles with.
So, sadly GC is gone for good. Other then when you do Oro flashbacks to do the missions in the 1 - 10 range. )=
I started most of my blueside toons in GC, just because I liked the missions better. Least Atlas is being revamped, so maybe the 1 - 10 missions will be different?
Looking forward to the newstuff though. i21 keeps sounding better and better
I didn't get the impression that the panels were cut sceens. I'll have to go back and reread that artical.
As far as Galaxy being a ghost town. True. However the only reason Atlas isn't is that there are a lot of missions higher up that take you back there. I never though I'd say this but I miss seeing every one loitering in Atlas BS'ing and having costume contests.
Something witty and profound

Guide: Tanking, Wall of Fire Style (Updated for I19!), and the Four Rules of Tanking
Story Arc: Belated Justice, #88003
Synopsis: Explore the fine line between justice and vengeance as you help a hero of Talos Island bring his friend's murderer to justice.
Grey Pilgrim: Fire/Fire Tanker (50), Victory
I'm under the impression that the comic-book style stuff will be loading screens, like before you enter into something.
Or like in this 2002 Relic game Impossible Creatures, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suFMOyQ9xl0, styled cutscenes. Very limited animation, hand-drawn, etc. But it will probably be more like Grey Pilgrim says .. going panel to panel as if you are flipping through a comic book.
I agree - I wouldn't mind seeing cut-scenes replaced/integrated with this new technology.
I hope that when Atlas gets updated and galaxy city gets thrashed, they switch the music cues. The ones i'm referring to are what I call the noble sounding horn part that you hear as you approach the trainers in both zones. Galaxy City has a brighter refrain on that music cue that I think should be in Atlas Park. And once Galaxy City becomes ground zero for shivans, why not new music in the zone?
Also I'm looking forward to a new tutorial! In general, I like new things.
i hope they dont add any new badges to the tutorial, or if they do we better be able to get there somehow

Main Hero: Chad Gulzow-Man (Victory) 50, 1396 Badges
Main Villain: Evil Gulzow-Man (Victory) 50, 1193 Badges
Mission Architect arcs: Doctor Brainstorm's An Experiment Gone Awry, Arc ID 2093
-----

i knew about that one, but i was curious if they added anything like jail bird or isolator which are basically only available in the tutorials and the related flashbacks

And then the sumbiches added the flashback

I've already forgotten about most of you

Everyone read the Intrepid Informer info yet? I wasn't super keen on the idea of Galaxy City being trashed, since I started a lot of heroes there (I like Atlas, but it was a good change of pace back in the day when we only had that or Galaxy), but this sounds really cool.
Heck, I wish they had run with this idea for cutscenes since CoH started: comic panels would be awesome to use for those: I might actually not want to skip them even after the 30th time seeing one!
