Free Digital Sculpting Software

For anyone interested in digital sculpting, Pixologic (makers of ZBrush) are offering a free download of sculptris: http://www.pixologic.com/sculptris/

I haven't used it that much yet, but it's very similar to ZBrush and in some ways actually easier to use. This is quality software. They are giving it away for free at the moment, probably because it's still under development and it's considered beta, but if anyone is interested in 3d modeling/sculpting this is a great opportunity to get your feet wet.

wow, just downloaded and tried it out. its pretty impressive. was able to sculpt a pretty decent face in about 15 minutes. For someone who has talent, unlike myself, I can see where this is a very powerful tool

Oh nice, I'm checking it out now. I've never actually managed to do 3d modeling so I guess this will be an interesting intro for me. If I manage some free time that is....

This program is awesome, I truly hope they work out the kinks in it.

I just want to preface this by saying, I have always believed that I have little artistic talent. Before now Ihave never used any kind of 3d art software. This program has sparked me to rethink my abilities. Check out what I made with about 1 hour of total work time and a lot of system crashes.
