I am Underwhelmed by Astral Christy and Empyrean Michael

I really, truly believe that there is a Dev who thinks that a "solo player" is defined as a "player who likes to exclusively play as one character, instead of using alts".

That is the only possible explanation as to why the vouchers were heralded as a "boon for solo players".

Whichever Dev thinks that "solo" means "one alt" instead of "I play ALONE" needs to be found and corrected before he/she does something else crazy, like adding "ripped physique" textures to all character models because we want more "buffs", or giving all players a "coins" pathing aura because we all want "more costume change" or designing a new incarnate trial which is an actual *trial* where your character gets charged with treason and must answer cross-examination from Statesman properly to avoid being jailed for 5 years.

This person must be stopped before they do something like fill the Lambda trial WITH ACTUAL LAMBS!!!!

All you need to do to make Incarnate content solo-friendly is add an incarnate salvage reward table to the already-existing Ouroboros mini-TFs. 1% VR chance, 4% rare chance, 15% uncommon chance, 80% common chance, rewarded ONLY if you complete the TFs on your own. If you do it in a team everyone just gets 10 threads.

I liked my idea more. Remove shards and shard related items completely. Replace with their thread counterparts. The devs came to understand and corrected the idiocy of 3 kinds of inf from the game. They should do the same with incarnate junk.

The Apex and TinM change is certainly a step in the right direction. Now, we need to be able to start these TFs solo.

Alternatively, wait for CoH:F, but logging 8 accounts is tedious, likely takes multiple computers, and that's not good for the planet! Think of our kids, let us start TFs solo.

It's not the symbiote costume. Peter separated himself from the Symbiote in issue #258, he fought Firelord in issue #270.

Right, because throughout history, only intelligent people have been breeding and that's how our culture has developed. Intelligent people like Newton, Turing, Da Vinci, have always had children.

Right, because mutation has never done any good for life on this planet. And life has always existed in a time when education, scientific inquiry and intelligence are seen as elitist and bad for the country.

Well, human life? Possibly most of human life has existed in times when education, scientific inquiry, and intelligence are seen as elitist and bad for the *insert name of the type of group people live in*.

This is not a new development.

At least they finally apologized for what they did to Turing.

Hell yes. My head spins to think that this was the game that consolidated all inf into one currency and removed base salvage because it was 'too confusing' and yet has introduced a salvage system for Incarnates that needs a spreadsheet to work out.

The Devs really need to keep to the KISS principle on this one.

Agree completely.

Once again, thank you for being so diligent and patient correcting me - I certainly appreciate your willingness to clarify my incorrect interpretation

I feel foolish, but extremely glad I was wrong.

For what it's worth, my complaint was driven by my incorrect interpretation of the patch notes. As soon as I realised that I was wrong (which took a while - I can be thick sometimes), I questioned why people would spend a heap of salvage and inf on something they can get by spending 30-90 mins in a TF/SF (and get merits and drops along the way).

I actually don't really have much issue with the new costs for conversion. i think they're approaching something akin to reasonable now. However, if a person works and has kids and can only play 4-8 hours a week, and wants to deck out multiple characters with incarnate stuff, I can see how they'd perceive the incarnate trials and associated salvage a grind and, if they have to convert to make higher tier salvage, very costly.

Each person plays their own way according to their life and its demands. They are entitled to express how they feel and how they perceive their game experience. It doesn't mean anyone else will agree or understand it.
