It's even more funny that he asks to see your papers on your way out.

NPCs that speak out to you need to be used VERY sparingly, because they're horribly annoying, and get old really fast. On the other hand, though, they do make for some interesting comedy when they point out names of players I'd never have noticed since I don't play attention. "Hey, Walks Like a Duck! I need to tell you about Recluse's Victory!"

That would be fine as long as it doesn't have to keep being reset every time a new character is made.

And while we're at it, get rid of those terrible pop up tips that you have to get rid of each and every time you make a new person.

You can turn those off in options.

And as for the talkie missions, keep them - but replace them with "you have been contacted by" windows you get for Castanella, Agent Nancy et al.

You can, but they don't stay gone. At least, not for me. They pop back up on every new character. And then, if you hide them, they're still sorta there and you can't click in that area that you left them, unless you go to each one of them and dismiss them.

This sounds like a job for Null the Gull.

Well it would work if the default setting is disabled instead of enabled.

What I do, is after I had all my settings the way I like them, and pop ups/prompts disabled etc is use the save setting button. On a new character I hit load settings. I do teh same for keybonds and chat windows. Saves a lot of time/energy/fustration.

I dont get why the architect contact and uni tutorial go on the hate list. You can just ignore them. Unlike having to go to the security chief etc.

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

So sad to be ending ):

A lot of people can't stand having them cluttering up their active contacts list. Kind of an OCD thing.

Now if they had their own tab (like detectives and inactive contacts have) and appeared their instead of the active list they'd probably never get mentioned.

This, exactly.

I used to only do missions for contacts when I could be sure of filling their bar before outleveling them. Ideally, then, I'd have nothing but (completely) full or empty bars on my list. It didn't always work out that way, and I was glad when the new contact sorting came in and shuffled all my past contacts off into another tab where I don't have to look at them.

And yes, I also sort my inspiration tray. And sometimes my enhancement tray. And, of course, slotted enhancements. Which I prefer, when possible, to be all the same level. *twitch*

I wish the 'dying' VG soldier in the last mission of the LGTF would either 1) Get mediported out already, 2) Hurry up and die, or 3) SHUT UP!

He spams the entire map with his same lines over, and over, and over and OVER! It's....augh! My Nictus woulda put him out of his misery and, hey, he'd have had a second shot at the Rikti that way! But nooo...

Okay, makes kinda sense I guess.

I dont feel like I have to do the mission just because I have a contact for it.

Imagine looking at a contact list of 30+ names on it, in no specific order. The clutter feeling goes all the way back to before they even had tabs sorting our contacts. Originally we just had one long list of open contacts that was pure hell to go thru, and if you outleveled a contact before completing the story-arc it just sat there forever, and each new outleveled contact just made the list grow longer and longer. We didn't have all the features we do now like turning off xp, or Ouroborus so we could finish up outleveled contacts.
