Can we get Respec stream lined one day please.
It really would be nice if they took one of the zillion ideas players have posted over the last 7 years about respec and implement them.
Respecing is a pain as it is now and I cannot imagine how a non SG solo player can even do a respec. Without babbling on, whining or rambling please address this issue. |
Oh god, signed a million times.
(Although I admint I'm not entirely sure what being a solo player or not has to do with respeccing.)

I normally just write it all down in a notebook and use that as a roadmap...also the process of writing it down engraves it in my memory so I rarely need to look at my notebook

When the respec is done, I do a quick /cleartray and drop the powers back into position. A chore which normally goes kitten quick.
And I have to ask...what does belonging to a SG have to do with getting respecs done? Or are you talking about finding a respec team? If all else fails you can buy a recipe in WW or pay ten bucks for one....which I have done...they don't dare put respecs up for half price..I would buy one for all my active toons

I have done freespecs in WW, under a tree in Talos, once I did one on a roof in Dark Astoria..rarely do I do one in the base.
Lisa.
Edit...Mark was on test when he did his respec. He took a pic of it, then went to the live server and did it for reals
So don't wait for heroes, do it yourself

It is a pain, but you can do what I saw my hubby do and take a pic of your build with your phone and use that as a guide.

You can use "titan sentinel" to copy your build and export that into mid's for modification and then use mid's handy respec feature to help you respec your build

I download to the desktop just fine. Know what happens when I click on the icon to get to the zip file....By my sainted Aunt Ester's knickers..my screen suddenly starts blinking and flashing, and it loads and opens copies of Internet Explorer at lightning speed. I managed to run a virus scan, and when it came back clean I shut the computer down.. deleted the file, went back to Titan and downloaded a fresh copy.....I scanned this file before opening, then clicked on it...same blasted thing happened. So I shut down the computer immedietely...but not before I had 24 copies of Windows open...sigh.
I waited a week, then tried it again....same thing happened....It hates my computer.
Lisa-Scowling at the memory. If I had a tail it would be lashing.

Not to mention, a solo SG can easily afford a storage rack or two.

I don't have anything in base storage and have done tons of respecs. It just takes a little planning. If storage is that big of an issue, it is pretty easy to set up your own SG and get some storage going. So what is your real problem?
Saying I dont like this, fix it is not a suggestion, it is a complaint or rant. How should it be streamlined? What should be changed? Why should the devs put their time on your idea vs whatever else they are working on?
I never saw the big deal about storage when doing respecs anyway. All the enhancements are either going right back in (or possibly into a different power) or are cheap enough that I don't mind the loss (SOs, common IOs, occassionally something cheap from a set that didn't work the way I'd hoped).
I know some people like to strip IOs from one character to give over to another, but that's not really the intent of the respec system is it?

they already have 3 options for solo players
1. respec recipes: while they can be a little pricey on the market, all you have to do is get lucky for a drop or just fork over some inf on the market
2. wait for freespecs to be handed out: recently they have handed out around 1-2 freespecs per issue which im sure is likely to be fairly common with major releases
3. if your that impatient about option 1 or 2 just buy a respec from the online/ingame store where you can buy more character slots, ect: i know this is not the preferred method, but it is there

As far as the base thing goes..
I find it helpful that I can scour all my toons to see what they have recipe wise to fit the build when I decide to respec my toon out of SO's to IO's. If any of my toons have a particular recipe I can make and place it on the storage bin. So I have no clue how someone without storage can hold all the recipes needed to respec his or her toon.
As for anything else I guess it just must be me that has an issue of taking hours to respec a toon. Again I am not discussing the actual respec mission. I am actually talking about making and slotting all those IOs. 67 IOs at an average of 3 components each. Between bidding waiting or even the buy it now price option. Not having the recipe available thus spending merits or whatever. Nutshell it takes time to respec. Your not doing a reslotting from a few IOs to a full 67 IOs in 1 hour for sure. Your not doing it in 2 hours.
End result between email and market slots you don't have 67 slots available to a efficient respec. But it could be me, so I guess all is good. Nothing to see here then.

They definitely need to:
1. Make the respec more freestyle instead of the incremental "level by level" system they have now.
2. Provide a chat interface within the respec screen.
3. Provide a means to save unused IOs. Can't tell you how many IOs I've had to burn because their number exceeded 8. Maybe a right click option to "mail to self".
4. Stop trashing my power tray. Most of the time I will be keeping 90% of the same powers. If the power is no longer used - drop it from the tray. Otherwise leave it alone!
