Large Exp Reward Surprised Me.

Is this...normal?

I just completed my first-ever Admiral Sutter TF with my newly-level-47 Blaster:

You received 22 reward merits.
You received 22 bonus reward merits.
You gain 1,956,150 experience.
Your combat improves to level 48! Seek a trainer to further your abilities.

It's the WST this week, but dang, that's a pretty big exp reward. I don't remember seeing its like on other WSTs...uh...or anywhere.

I had run 2 tip missions since leveling, and then accepted the TF invite. Is it typical to level from 47-48 on 2 tips and a Sutter?

WSTs give half a level of XP when you complete them, in addition to the normal reward.

Well it depends a bit on the WST. The shorter ones seem to only give 3 bars instead of 5.

But to answer the OP, yeah it's normal. I try to do the WST on all of my leveling alts simply because it's such a good source of XP.

Some of them are up to 2/3rds of a level, others are 1/3rd.

I think it has to do with the length/difficulty of the TF.

Well, I got a whole 2 bars. I was dissapointed to tell the truth.

Depending on diff setting for the missions and rested exp, yes. I pick certain builds to get to 50 and then make sure I do the WTF with them if they can. I fully expect my Ill/rad to go from 48.9 to 50 when I do the Sutter TF with him this week.

The key, I've found, is to make sure you level in the TF somewhere. Half a level's worth of experience given to you at 48.9 is no where near the amount of half a level's worth of experience given to you at 49.1.

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

With all bonuses from the Weekly strike target, the XP can only be gotten once per week per character.

Answer: No matter how much it is, it's not enough.
