However, the problem with Freedom is that the % of bad players and/or idiots tends to vastly overshadow the good players. Getting on a good PuG on Freedom is no where near "common", more of "ohmigosh I had a good pug team!!!!!!". And that is the main reason I try to mostly team with globies. But being an avid TFer I find myself sometimes having to PuG for enough people to start one. But I only do that when I'm confident that even if the PuGs turn out to be completely unreliable, that whoever I already had on the team is enough to take care of the missions without their help. If they turn out to be good players, brownies and 3-4 star rating for them, and of course the global name is taken note of for future references.

Look, when someone doesnt want you on a team because you dont fit their ideal.. I usually count myself lucky as not being on that team.. I have found 90% of the time that I just missed out on being on TEAM STUPID that doesnt work together a a team, dies a lot and is looking for buffs to overcome their stupidity.. As I always say.. you cant heal stupid... I got on a team once that said they were looking for a defender.. So I joined with my Rad/Rad.. I get YAY DEFENDER.. ok no more dying ( that was a bad sign right there) they were fighting some +3's so Im laying down the debuffs on the mobs and attacking..and we are starting to plow through them... but we are taking some damage ( although no had died since i joined the team )and the team leader screams at me.. STOP ATTACKING JUST HEAL... I said well I have a lot of debuffs and... again the team STOP ATTACKING JUST HEAL... So I stopped attacking... and just threw out my very small AoE Heal... and the team died... everyone said wait what happened.. we were doing good.. I said.. Oh well that was my fault.. See I had Radiation Infection which is a 50% defense debuff and a 48% to hit debuff.. but I shut that off so I could just heal like the leader said. Then I had Enervating Field running which brought their reistance down 30% and brought their damage down 25% but I shut that off so I could heal.. Oh yeah and then I was using Lingering Radiation cut their regen 500% and theire recharge rate 25% but i stopped doing that so I could heal... And I stopped using Irradiate which is another 50% defense debuff in an area and Neutron Bomb which is another 25% defense debuff in an area bcause I was told STOP ATTACKING JUST HEAL... OH and I stopped dropping Accelerate Metabolism which was buffing your damage 30% and yor recharge 25% well because its not a heal and I was told JUST HEAL... So wait classic here.. someone asks for the star so they can invite a friend.. and the leader was kicked LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

My /Regen scrapper was once kicked from a team for not healing other people.
I had heals and I wasn't sharing them. Wasn't that rude of me?

The team I was kicked from had THREE Empathy defenders on it......
The leader was a tank and was demanding that ALL THREE Empaths do NOTHING but spam Heal Other on him.
Before he booted me he booted one of his precious healers for attacking ONCE.
I warned everyone I knew not to team with that jacktard. As far as I'm aware he ragequit once the majority of the regulars on the server refused to team with him anymore. He didn't view other players as actually being other players, everyone existed for the sole purpose of buffing HIM.
I still shake my head when I think about that guy.
It's also amazing how often your sarcasm fails to register when you tell the Empath who is following the tank rockin' the aura: "Nice heals".

The last team that really stuck out as being bad was on Victory. Leader was a 6 month player who assumed he and the rest of the team knew everything and didn't really have to lead. It has been a long time since I wanted to quit a TF when at the AV stage of it.

I am sure that some of these forum people may avoid Freedom for lag issues, but the majority of people here would probably admit to avoiding it because of the perpetual talk of bad players there.
Words to the wise aren't necessary- it's the stupid ones that need them.

No offense taken. Actually, I play on several servers and Freedom is one. I think Freedom was REALLY BAD like 4 years ago. Now I think it is just fine. I play there as often as any other server--especially on those odd hours when I want to team and know no one will be around on say, Champion..

Playing since i3 on 8 servers
I guess they wanted a heavy buff character like an Empath or Thermal, or maybe they just wanted Speed Boost. But on the bright side, at least you didn't have to team with them.
