And another childhood memory is murdered by Hollywood.
Well, they got the LOOK of the Smurf correct. But there's something about Smurfette and Papa Smurf's beard that doesn't look right.

I lvoe the smurfs, but it really wasn't this great television. And it's not like it's the first time they've gone into the city.
If anything, the part that they should of kept away from was Gargamel looking like Gargamel.
Put them into mordern times, and not have Gargamel look like he's back in the dark ages.

I'm well aware that Smurfs was not great TV. I would hate it now. But my 5 year old self loved it, and that's what Hollywood is murdering.

Yep they ran the Smurfs trailer during "American Idol" tonight. I am not impressed or amused. It reminds me of Underdog and Yogi Bear and I wasn't impressed with those either.
