Due to the Global Server Access, all inactive accounts will be reactivated for one week, from now until Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (2:59 a.m. Eastern Time / 7:59 a.m. British Time / 8:59 Central European Time).

A free global handle token will be applied to all accounts affected by a global handle name collision. If you own 1 North American account and 1 European account with the exact same global handle, and one or both accounts have lapsed, the Reactivation weekend will allow you to change both global handles.

Please note that trial accounts will not be reactivated; however, all trial account global names will be renamed to "Trial####" to prevent trial account global name collisions with active accounts.

Couple of quick questions for this reactivation.

I have a second account that was reactivated. It is bare bones no add-ons. But reactivation has allowed me to make DP, Demon, electric control, and KM toons. Also it allows preatoria, and costume parts.

So when the reactivation time is over and the account is renewed. What happens?

Do the Preatorian toons get booted to blue or redside or are they stuck in preatoria?

Blueside toons with DP are they still playable?

Toons with clockwork pieces what happens to them?

Judging by past experience, I can probably answer the questions.

It will be the base account (whatever you paid for).

Stuck in Praetoria. Any praetorian characters will be unplayable until you apply a valid Going Rogue expansion to that account. You might be able to play characters that started in Praetoria, villain ATs in Paragon, hero ATs in the Rogue Isles, Vigilantes, or Rogues, but I wouldn't count on it. I also wouldn't count on keeping or using any Hero/Villain Alignment merits earned during this week either.

Any Demon Summoning or Dual Pistols characters will be unplayable until you apply a valid Going Rogue expansion to that account.

While you might have the costume parts beyond the reactivation week, you will lose them the instant you modify that costume at any tailor, unless you apply a valid Going Rogue expansion to that account.

Preatorians that are still in Praetoria will be locked out. Praetorians that have left Praetoria and went to the "right" side for their AT will remain usable. Characters that aren't their "right" alignment (Praetorians that left on the opposite side, and anyone who's changed alignment - including Rogues and Vigilantes) will be locked out. Characters that switched alignments but went back to their native alignment will be accessible.

Going Rogue isn't needed to earn or spend Alignment Merits. You can't earn them through the Tip System without GR, but any pure Hero or Villain can enter Fort Trident or The Crucible, respectively, to purchase A-merits with regular merits, or to spend them.

As well as Kinetic Melee and Electric Control, of course. This is an exception to what I said above - a pure hero DP Blaster will still be locked out.

Your costumes will be unaltered. But, as Snow Globe said, if you alter the costume, you'll be forced to remove the costume parts, unless you've added a GR code.

One additional thing: Visiting Praetoria with Primal characters will not lock you out of those characters, even if you forget to get them out of Praetoria before the end of the reactivation week. Anyone who tries to load into a zone they're not allowed in gets bumped back to Atlas or Mercy, depending on alignment.

OK, two of my friends who've been gone a loooong time have reactivated.

They appear to be able to access toons that they created in praetoria the last reactivation period.

They wanted to see the incarnate system, but can't talk to Ramiel getting the message that they don't have going rogue.

Can we find out what they're supposed to be able to access, and if the incarnate system is off limits, what's the point in the reactivation weekend ?

It's true. This game is NOT rocket surgery. - BillZBubba

That is because the incarnate system isn't in the modified trial code that the reactivation allows.

What people can access has been mentioned in the two posts above yours. The point behind the reactivation weekend has been stated in the original post:

It is to try to let the EU players to get their global handle.

My friend has been gone for< I would have to guess 2 years - he says he cant log in - there is nothing he needs to do right? Its automatic? He has been playing around with his NCSoft account area, emails etc - yeah he is kind of clueless when it comes to this stuff. He just needs his name and password right? He says he is getting a message his account has expired.

Hopefully this isn't the case, but: The announcement said "inactive accounts in good standing." If his account was banned, it won't be reactivated. A while ago, several people reported that their accounts had been permabanned (pending verification, which got them reactivated), because someone was trying to steal accounts. I'm pretty sure that banned accounts are marked in the Master Account, though, so if he can get that far in, he should be able to tell.

Something that's more likely, that I just thought of: Is he a EU player? If so, and his login was the same as a NA player's, then his login now has "EU" added to the beginning.

I have a NA Trial account and an EU active account.
Let's say my account name is billybob (it isn't)
In my masteraccount I see that my NA trial account is still named billybob and my EU account is renamed to EUbillybob.

How do I use the Free Global Handle Token?
Where's the option to rename the account? I don't see it in my masteraccount and nothing happens when I log into the game.

I thought that if the trial account is renamed to TRIALbillybob, my active EU account would be unaffected...

In the case of Account Name clashes, the EU account gets "EU" added to the beginning. Neither Account can be renamed.

All trial accounts have their Global Name changed to @Trial-XXXX. In the case of a clash between a US and EU Global Name, the EU account has its global renamed to the last character logged in before the change, with letters dropped from the end if a clash remains. These can be changed with the Global Rename token, by using "Change Chat Handle" in the in-game menu.

Sounds like you got the two mixed up a bit.
