~Monday Night Horde Group - Please Read and Respond!~

Hey Everyone!

It's time to start discussing the next round of the Monday Night Horde Events. Right now my plan is for us to start the next round on June 13th.

We will be going back to HERO side this round. I think we are all a little sick of villain side by now, and the never ending stream of arachnos and longbow.

We'll be starting out on Hero side. I'm not sure what we'll start with. I'm thinking maybe a sewer run the first week for lowbies, followed by the hollows the next week before we tackle the Posi TF's the week after.

The Events will continue to start at 10pm Eastern, 7pm Pacific on Monday nights.

I have yet to make the schedule, but the next round will continue to feature task forces, trials, and flashback arcs of popular story lines. Any suggestions on story lines you would like to see are welcome.

As usual, I will offer the ability to be an auto sign up to those who are interested. I'm not assuming anything from this past run, so speak up here if you want to be a regular auto-signed up player. As usual, if you miss 2-3 times without bothering to let us know before or afterwards as to why, I will remove you from the auto sign up list. You'll still be welcome to join, but I won't be saving a spot for someone I cannot count on.

I know I can count on several of you to lead teams in a pinch. But I also know we'll be facing some changes this round as some of our vets take short (and long) term breaks from the game. So if you are willing to be a regular team leader, please let me know.

As always, I'm pretty flexible as to what you all play. All I really *really* would like to have are 2-3 tanks or brutes, and 2-3 debuffers (rads and darks).

So please speak up and I'll start compiling a list of who all wants to be a regular player at the events, and what you might be playing.

Set me on auto, please.

I can lead teams on stuff I've run before or simple stuff. I'd have to look up how to deploy people on stupid, multi-zone hunts. And I will not play the Shadow Shard. I hate that place and will not play it. [Maybe]

I'm bringing up an ice tank who's in his 20s now. My few 50s are scrappers and my main, a blaster, which is the only one getting incarnated out currently. I've got some controllers who are slowly creeping to 50, but are rarely played.

I'm thinking the Frad team might start running Horde content. But it's mostly Tidbit and Hyperstrike's call on that. "I have no authority in that matter" as I say at work.

My only weakness is I totally suck at caves, and my old 9600 GSO graphics card, which will be remedied in the near future, if nothing around the house breaks and takes my money from me in an unenjoyable fashion.

Oh yeah, and let me state now, that I'll be running enough events that people who come on a regular basis should be able to drag a toon up from level 1 to 50 if they so desire. People are also welcome to bring 50's and play them the entire time if they so desire, and finally, they are welcome to trade out toons every week if they so desire!

Yeah, I have a rabid dislike of Council Caves, and usually I spend those TF's complaining in team chat about them lol. The Shadow Shard stuff we usually break Dr. Q and Faathim up into two night events since they are so long. One thing I did last Hero run was run a Shard event one week, then run something else the next week, then back to the shard. It helps to split those things up rather than have an entire month stuck in the shard =)

The only event I outright hate is the Sewer Trial, because my team always fails at it. If I'm on a team that someone else is leading, it succeeds.. If I'm leading, it fails :smirk:

Don't put me on auto but I think I have a dark/dark I can bring along for a few of them. I will try and be present more often, silly life getting in the way.

I'm withholding from putting my name on the schedule, because I'm in the middle of reorganizing my PT appointments, which impact when I can play.

I'm glad to step in for team lead if needed, but because I'm typically on-call, I end up AFKing occasionally, or (you guessed it) pass out from having so much fun. :P You might want a better, more reliable team lead.



...But on a day where I've turned off the phone, I got my 8 hours of sleep, chugged a few V8's and am hyped up on Sudafed? OMG, step back, the Doctor is IN.

I could defintely use a break from Redside.

I can bring anything (stone tank, rad, emp, troller/kin, dps) for whatever we need that night. I am not really working on anything as far as these runs unless there is some odd random badge here or there that my blaster or PB needs that I have overlooked. I also have a 42 brute I have been messing around with that could use some of these TFs. But really, I am playing to have fun with you guys and don't have any preference and can bring whatever the group needs on any given night.

I love you guys, and I'm sorry I wont be joining you for the next round. Being a part of this for the last couple years has really been wonderful. Each week had something to look forward to, and sometimes something extra to work toward during the week (unlock pre-requisites / get into lvl range). That doesn't even include all the great people that we've met and personal experiences that we've shared. I highly recommend this group to anybody who is available. Luna is a star! I want to wish everybody well and I'm sure you'll all have lots of fun!

Going to echo MB here. The Development team is moving the game in a direction I don't enjoy, so I'm just gonna pack it up and head on to other things. Thanks for setting this up for the last few years, Luna. I've been able to meet a lot of great folks I wouldn't have otherwise stumbled across and get a ton of badges and what-not. I'm sorry for having been a pain in the butt at times and I hope that the Hordelings that continue to play enjoy their time with this group as much as I have.

That is depressing news MB and Paragon, but I can appreciate why you guys need a break. And I understand that the changes in the game are not for everyone. The Devs seem to be moving towards the sort of hardcore endgame grind that many MMOs have which definitely changes the dynamic of the game.

I think I speak for everyone when I say that you guys will be missed and if you are ever in-game and need someone to run something please look me up.

If possible, I'll try to make them, but please don't make me a regular cuz then you'll just be sad and I'll feel awful and it will just be unfortunate all around.

I'll be there as usual - most likely with an existing character this time. It will probably be Cold Satisfaction (Ice/Dark Corruptor) - I just need to move her over from villain side for this run.

MB & Paragon - I will miss you both - we've done a lot together over the years. Hopefully you will at least come & visit us on some of the free-weekends.

Personally, I'm not into the high-level grinding, but this game is still one of the most casual friendly MMO's out there (from 1 to 50), so it keeps me playing. Running the weekly stuff with everyone is what makes it so much fun for me - not maxing out my characters.

I'll be in once I can get out of Korea and into a US-friendly time zone. Latest I can see this happening is August, if the job search takes longer than I want. Earliest would be end of June.

If Laser's coming... we might bring a few more JFS. If that's cool with them, we might run one team in conjunction with yours... just will need to ask the guys if or what they want. Regardless, yall are fun to hang with.

I can't sign up due to summer classes and the probability that I'll be working 3rd shift, but if I can get on, you know how to get in touch with me and vice versa.

MB & Paragon - I'm saddened that you both are hanging up your capes (for now). You both are phenomenal players, not just in the sense of playing the game, but in the way you two conduct yourselves. Your senses of humor, non-elitist attitudes, and eagerness to help others, made my (and several others) experiences that much more enjoyable. It seemed like every time I made an accomplishment or earned a badge over the last year, one if not both of you were on the team.
Enjoy your time away, you'll be missed. Salute!

Bumping this back up to the top. So I'm getting the impression that *most* people will be bringing existing toons to this next Hero Side Run (starts in 3 weeks!). If that's the case, I might skip the sewer runs, and start straight with Positron. I can always help anyone who is not level 10 personally before the runs start. How does that sound?

I'll be working on the schedule this week. Any requests that you all would like to do? I plan on putting in all the Hero Side Task Forces and Trials (Including the weird ones). I also plan on adding Frostfire, Maria Jenkins, Tina McIntyre, Calvin Scott Ouro TF, And *maybe* the Crimson Arc (Kronos Titan!). Oh, and the Freakolympics. Any other suggestions?

I'm having a real dilemma on what to play this round. Should I go Peacebringer, Warshade, or Elec/Elec Dom?
