Pinnacle Server Lag - BAF Trial
Was on a Hami and a BAF last night on Victory with a lot of lag (Hami was the redside version), both utilizing the league window. Things were laggy enough on Hami that we gave up after the 50% phase... we were trying to redo things without being in a league, to see if that helped, but enough people had skipped out of zone that it wasn't seen as worth it. I have never seen lag on a Hami raid like this before, redside or blueside, though I have only been on a blueside one since I20 hit.
BAF was not quite as bad, but it was laggy, and we had 24 people in the league.
Ran an ITF afterward with a team of 8 and had no lag, other than the usual bits on the third map: and even that wasn't as bad as on the two leagues I had been on.

Just in case anyone important is really reading this, as support keeps telling me I should come here cuz the devs read our problems....
I spent saturday going through every one of my drivers, updated several, including my graphics card driver. This had absolutely no effect, and no, I don't need a new computer, the one I have cost me more than $3K and it is less than a year old.
I think it's a little sad no red names have commented on this. Even with the generic "we're investigating this issue". A little sad and very much disappointing.

I was on a BAF today, on Virtue, with a full 24 league, and the lag was worse than a Mothership raid, as it has been since the last patch.
However, at some point one of our players dropped, leaving us with 23 players, and the lag diminished considerably. Unfortunately I don't recall what AT/power sets the missing player had, but the fact that removing a single player from the map coincided with a substantial gain in performance makes me wonder if the issue could be related to particular powers.
I recall an issue at the launch of i19 that caused people to crash when Alpha-slotted characters summoned certain types of pets.. perhaps a similar thing going on here?
In any case, this needs fixing ASAP.

Rikti ship raid on Victory Sunday night at 8 pm Eastern.
Lag so bad, I looked forward to doing a BAF trial afterwards.
I was alone on a sector of the ship, no buffs being sent, combat attributes UI turned off and was still >3fps.
If devs are watching this thread, pull up the logs of RWZ on Victory from 8-9 pm eastern on Sunday 5-1-11. I hope you'll be able to pull some information from it that will allow a solution.

Ran two BAF (14-16 person) before work on Pinn today, both AVs pulled to the helipad...
Huge difference. Practically lag-free. So I think - for me at least - that third team is the tipping point.
Looks like the devs are narrowing in on the problem. That's good to hear.

Similarly, pull the logs of RWZ3 on Virtue ... When we ran it with a League, it was horrific lag with powers simply not firing. When we broke the League and just did individual teams, we had normal performance.

Hmmm... normal performance in MSR has been the same as what I've been experiencing in the BAF for at least 6 months. I can't say when it got bad, all I know is, I did them with a 50 and everything seemed to run smooth, I created a new character and played that for a while, decided I needed some more v-merits and could not believe the slide show I was treated to, and this was some time before the release of i20, could have been after i19, not shure.
So it ain't just the league system.... |

I still get loads of lag when im on a league during hami and ship raid. Monitoring it looks like stop sending buff numbers isnt working properly.
I think there is to much data being bruteforced upon you when using the league ui.
The stop sending buff numbers does not seem to work either.
I get "normal" lag when on a non league team during a MSR and Hami. However if i'm on a league during those raids i dc often and crash.
No i don't need to get a new computer atm(not that it would matter.) and i would probably need to live in Korea to get good enough internet to handle the extra data.
