Wow.
Ok, First, great name
Second, it looks like you're trying reaaaallly hard to get damage bonuses from IO sets.
Now, you can play anything you like, and I'm sure that toon plays just fine, but.... It's a very low-payoff trade to slot IO sets for damage. Especially on a fire/fire tank, you want defense, then recharge.
It's MUCH easier to get defense than it is to get +damage. For example, the 23 percent melee defense on this toon cuts the amount of damage you take in the scrum by about half. The +20 damage bonus you have slotted will raise your outbound damage by about a tenth, and quite a bit less if you use fiery embrace/buildup constantly. If you traded in those damage bonuses for +defense, you could cut the damage you still take in melee to a fourth of what you suffer now, easily.
Alternatively, more recharge would get your heals up faster, your consume up faster, your fiery embrace(OMG!) up faster, and let you use your best attacks much faster. Recharge is teh gud.
I've been meaning to tinker this titan thingy so I could pull some live builds, let me see if I can get the build off my fire tank and pop it in here, so you can see what I mean.
Well, that was surprisingly easy! I had to dump it into a local Mids and add in my accolades and Incarnates, but the build came through just fine. Oh, I left off my barrier, it makes the numbers look CRAZY in Mids if you put that in.
But anyway, here's the live build of my fire tanker. It's a bit of a mess right now, I hate respecs so this is how I leveled it up, but it has all the essential bits in place and is plenty tough for my purposes And yes, I totally put the Glad proc in the wrong power, it's the one thing that'll get me off my lazy tail to respec....someday.

It looks a little bit like you're sacrificing a bit in individual powers in order to get the added +defense. Is it worth it to lose 10% - 15% or so utility in some powers to get the added defense? Especially noticed that in [Healing Flames], don't normally see a resistance set get put in there. Also, what kind of costs does it take to reach that sort of level? So far, I haven't spent more than 10 mil on any one item, and have mostly spent 1-3 mil depending on what the rare salvage is going for. I did just get lucky enough to get a Hecatomb drop today which will hopefully net me over 350 mil which will help some.
Thanks for the heads up, having an older version of Mid's was indeed the problem.
I'd recommend a number of changes to this build.
First of all, six-slotting Plasma Shield and Fire Shield is not a good use of slots, IMO, especially since it leaves Weave and other powers very underslotted.
I agree with Mauk that trying to slot for damage bonuses isn't a good idea, and I also think the same of slotting for Psi defense/resistance, especially since Psi is so uncommon. Slotting for defense in general, and melee/SL in particular is a much better strategy.
I think you'd also have an issue with endurance on this build, since Blazing Aura, Combustion, Burn and Weave are all underslotted for end reduction.
You should also consider dropping Temp Prot for CJ; you've got plenty of places to put a KB IO and getting CJ would give you a bit more defense.
Here's the sort of thing you could do for Melee defense; I added a couple of LotG +recharges too for some additional recharge.

It looks a little bit like you're sacrificing a bit in individual powers in order to get the added +defense. Is it worth it to lose 10% - 15% or so utility in some powers to get the added defense?

It depends on your design goals. On this build, I wanted a real tank, that also did good damage. I've tanked LR, I've herded the Patrons, I've herded Bobcat, Neuron, and both robots, I spike the crystals, I spike the toxic sewer towers, etc, etc. This toon fears nothing.
Maybe it takes me an extra three seconds to kill some things. I balance that through always being alive and producing damage.
Well, unless I do something silly.
Especially noticed that in [Healing Flames], don't normally see a resistance set get put in there. |
It's fun watching truly beastly tanks melt away around me as I just keep on blazing down the towers.
And honestly, I feel it's a good fit there. It's not like that power is underperforming.
Also, what kind of costs does it take to reach that sort of level? |
So far, I haven't spent more than 10 mil on any one item, and have mostly spent 1-3 mil depending on what the rare salvage is going for. I did just get lucky enough to get a Hecatomb drop today which will hopefully net me over 350 mil which will help some. |
I think you'd also have an issue with endurance on this build, since Blazing Aura, Combustion, Burn and Weave are all underslotted for end reduction.

Also, while Psi may be fairly uncommon, I do enjoy Carnies as a whole, but not their Psi damage. Also, Seers are fairly frequent in the new trials which I also currently enjoy.

Make all IO's available in Paragon Market! NCSoft, the chinese are making BIG money selling influence and other stuff in the game. Best way to stop them = make the paragon market a place to buy all IO's and perhaps other things as well.
