Blaster Incarnates.
I went Diamagnetic in the Interface slot cuz I want the -to hit and -regen on my Arch/MM. I figured if they can't hit me AND can't regen, I will drop them quicker.

Judgement - I took Ion on my Psi/MM and Ion Total Radial Judgement is amazing. What doesn't die is usually devoid of endurance, held, or both. Having said that, I think for blappers, Void is a great choice. PBAoE and -50% DMG on non-dead targets? Woo! Pyronic is a great thematic choice for your Fire/Fire. I also approve. And Cryonic? Well... if you want another cone, or you're an Ice blaster of some sort, okay. There ya go.
Lore - Seers are awesome... for everyone except Psi/MM blasters. DIVERSIFY DAMAGE TYPES! So I went Clockwork. IDF is gonna be the least chosen by far, WarWorks will probably be the most chose 'cause the Victorias are amazing pets.
Destiny - I went Clarion for mez protection, but Barrier will be the most popular by far. I might even make a Barrier as well. Ageless is good if you run against end-draining or rech-slowing enemies, and Rebirth.. it's a heal. So. Meh.
Interface - Diamagnetic for obvious reasons: -ToHit / -Regen. If you want more damage, go Reactive. Can't see too many uses for Gravitic or Paralytic on a blaster.

I am pretty much the same. I did however go Barrier on my Destiny. Just got it to T3 today and love it. Went for the longer lasting, but slightly less buff one. But still love it. And since she is a Arch/EM I went Ion in Judgement and I LOVE it. Only T1 on it but it ROCKS! Do not have Lore opened, so I am unsure about my pet yet. And like many I also went Diamagnetic cuz I want No-regen-4-U Arrows!

Has anyone tried Ageless Destiny with crash nukes? Is it worth it? Or is it still better to just carry blues?
|
If you have boat loads of recharge(remember that Ageless gives you some as well), your nuke might go up significantly sooner than Ageless, in which case carrying some blues would be a good idea.
Mains (Freedom) @Auroxis
Auroxis - Emp/Rad/Power Defender Pylon Video Soloing an AV
Pelvic Thunder - SS/Elec/Mu Brute
Sorajin - Elec/Nin Stalker
Neuropain - Sonic/Mental/Elec Blaster
What's really fun... Ageless after an emp pulse.... end problems what?
Gonna do the perma ageless and switch focus from all the recovery sets cause the effect is that much.
I took the IDF just to be different.. and as a Fire/rad controller the stuns might stack. The commander and ranger together do some NICE damage and neither has knockback that I've seen.. which I think most of the others had an area knockback of sorts and that's why I didn't chose them.
Are the pet robots resistant to Psi? was wondering I heard the resistances on the pets were different than the normal mob.
Destiny - I went Clarion for mez protection, but Barrier will be the most popular by far. I might even make a Barrier as well. Ageless is good if you run against end-draining or rech-slowing enemies, and Rebirth.. it's a heal. So. Meh.. |
For my blaster I'm really torn between Clarion for the perma status prot for soloing and and Rebirth/regen for just being cool. I suspect Clarion will be the route I go as well.

I think diversification is the answer. My En/En blaster w/"Ion" in the name has to get Ionic, of course, but I'm trying to mix damage types. My Fire blaster will also get Ionic, my Ice & Arch will get Pyro, etc.
Likely Clarion for all blasters too. Not sure on Lore & Interface.
An Offensive Guide to Ice Melee
I was finally able to run an ITF after slotting the 75% DoT Reactive and damn it's sweet. My blaster runs both damage auras on top of the usual fire AoEs and it seems that the Reactive activations are always capped. The increase in overall damage is very noticable, over 15% I'd guess.
I was also thinking what would be better for a Rad/Fire blaster...Reactive or Paralytic? More debuff or damage? he is an aoe monster!
Prometheus: ... so what I told you was true, from a certain point of view.
Me: From a certain point of view?
Prometheus: You're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on your point of view.
Me: You're right about that. Power Blast is very pretty from a certain point of view. But that point of view is not head-on. <Kaboom> - Arcanaville.
Well, I was going to post a similar thread/question, but saw this, so I'll just add on.
My main/namesake is a fire/fire/fire blaster, who I have built as more of a blapper. I have both PBAoE auras as well as FSC and Combustion, so I like to be in the middle of the mobs. Currently I have Pyronic Judgement slotted (I have a thing for fire...) and Reactive Interface, along with Radial Musculature tier 4 Alpha. I'm just starting to unlock Lore and Destiny, so I hadn't looked to deep into them yet. Now that I'm closer, my real uncertainty is Lore.
I obviously already have quite a bit of damage going, so I'm thinking I want to add to my survivability. Any recommendations on which pet type?
Thoughts on Destiny would also be welcome
My Fire/MM Blaster:
Alpha - I chose Spiritual to keep cycling through his blasts faster and add a bit to his Healing. It's done great things for his offense -and- survivability.
Judgement: Pyronic all the way! It looks so similar to fireball that I can picture the character himself throwing it by accident, looking at his hand, looking at the pile of crispy baddies, and then going cross-eyed. If I had to pick another, it would be either Cryonic or Void for their secondary effects.
Interface - I hard a very hard time picking between Reactive and Diamagnetic before finally picking Diamagnetic. Having fire and psychic damage means that most enemies already have comparatively weaker resistance to his powers, and being able to drop ToHit would be helpful for his defense. Eventually I plan on leveling up Reactive as well and alternating them as needed.
Destiny - I chose Barrier, and I'm very happy with my choice. He's able to survive very well when things get tough, fire off Drain Psyche in the middle of a dangerous crowd, and keep going strong. Great lifesaving power. If I had to choose another, it would probably be either Ageless or Rebirth.
Lore - I went with the Seers for Perma-Fortitude. I'm only on Tier 2 for these pets right now, but they're quite nice. Later, I plan on getting a pet for Offense and Alpha-taking purposes, but that will be later.
For my baby Archery/Energy long-range Blaster when he grows up:
Alpha - Either Musculature, Spiritual, or Cardiac depending on how he performs in later levels.
Judgment - Cryonic, Ionic, or Pyronic for him. The important thing is for the enemies who get that close to either be killed or unable to land a hit. Cryonic can hold enemies, Ionic saps (and maybe holds? I'll have to look that up again), and Pyronic can Stun. I'm going for the non-DoT secondary effect types of Judgment for this Blaster because his damage will be quite nice, and he might need the extra control.
Interface - Reactive. He'll spend most of his time outside of enemy range, so no need to pile on -ToHit.
Destiny - Like I said, I plan on keeping him far away from baddies. I'll get Ageless so that he can cycle through his attacks faster and has extra endurance to use them.
Lore - I'm undecided. If there is a guide on how Lore Pets stack up against each other, I'd love to see it.
Long story short, I use Incarnate powers to either fill in gaps or make characters better at what they already do. It depends on the powersets and how I play the character.
Too many alts to list.

Rebirth is all about healing and regeneration. You can either go for a type that gives more max HP or a type that boosts your regen, and both types come with a lovely heal. No one will ever complain about somebody packing this power.
Ageless is great if you want to do MOAR FIRE! It's a Recharge, Recovery, and Endurance boost. I forget what the other tree does, but I think it was something about boosting secondary effects. If you've got a tank and want to really crank out the damage, this is the one I would pick.
From what I hear on Lore, the two most popular choices are Seers and Warworks. The Seer pet can give you perma Fortitude, though a weak one, and the Warworks pets deal good damage.
Too many alts to list.
@Mr Grumpums: The "other" Destiny tree (Clarion) provides comprehensive mez protection as the Core boost, and +range and +special for Radial. The core branch is perma (120 sec duration/cooldown), but the Radial branch only lasts 90 seconds to balance out the AoE +Range/Special.
If you and/or a bunch of your other squishy, buffing friends would appreciate having mez protection, longer range, and an AoE Power Boost, it's a pretty handy tool. Also, it seems RADICALLY less popular than the obvious Barrier/Rebirth survivability buffs, so if your blaster or defender wants to provide a different sort of Destiny buff to the team, don't completely write it off. I know my Arch/EM blaster has been giggling about being able to teleport a mile in 7-8 jumps, and turn Fistful of Arrows into a 140 foot long cone.
Rule number six of an empathy defender is NEVER underestimate a blaster's ability to die. I don't care if he has CM, Fort, both RAs, bubbles (both FF and Sonic), and is fighting next to a Storm defender with hurricane on. If there is a way to die in that situation, the blaster will find it.
Has anyone tried Ageless Destiny with crash nukes? Is it worth it? Or is it still better to just carry blues?

... Of course you still detoggle if you had them.
My Elec/ Blaster has 3 crashing powers I use everytime they're up now it seems. EM Pulse, Thunderous Blast and Surge of Power. All crash, all can be used fine now (best when you time it so the SoP crash coincides with nuke crashing or EMP, that way the overlap in a way you can cycle.)
"Fascinating. I'm not bored at all, I swear." -Kikuchiyo
On my fire blaster, I went Pyronic and Warworks.
Pyronic - I don't see the need to diversify damage types since I'm fire. Everyone loves getting hurt by fire. Plus it's the coolest looking. I think I stopped at the third teir. Didn't see fourth as worth the effort as I've fun BAF nine million times at this point.
Warworks - Did up to Core Total, didn't see anything I'd dig past that. I might build toward it if I did buffs, but I just picked them up yesterday and haven't even see what damage they'll do. I'm a hoverblaster, so hopefully they'll be able to deal with that. Also, looks coolest.
The other Lambda stuff: I'm not going to grind for buffing others right now. I'll need to see some more incarnate stuff on that side to want to mess with it. Though getting Mez protection does sound nice, I carry insp for that. I'll even skip the mez protection if it's the "lightning seizure bubbles."

And now that I have all my tier 3 complete and 2 tier 4s, I may go back and work on the Clarion Destiny to have as a backup when running high mez content.
I have an energy/energy/force blapper (i use the javelin strategy, jump in blap and jump out --> Rinse & Repeat) . So far my slot choices are as follows:
Alpha slot: Spiritual Core
Interface: Dimagnetic Core
Judgment: Ion Radial
Lore: Clockwork Radial
Destiny: NEED HALP
I need some help on the destiny slot, here are my current stats with all of my toggles on..
Regen: 188%
Recovery: 178% (2.98end/sec)
End Usage: 0.51 end/sec (without superspeed, with SS --> 0.81 end/sec)
Recharge: +77.5%
Resistance: Smashing (53%); Lethal (48%)
Defences: All hover around 6% accept energy & negative (13%)
I know my endurance is good for my play style, but i do run out and hover between 25-60% at all times during combat. My resistance is good when fighting yellows-oranges, but purples swat me down like a fly. I also have force of nature as well.

Although i20 was just released and I've yet to unlock any of the new incarnate slots I would like some advice on what would most benefit my fire/fire/force blaster which is my main. The way the new incarnate trials are set up in a way that I really should plan on which very rares I'm going to shoot for as the occasional drops will accelerate the path to very rare greatly.
Right now I'm thinking of the following but am unsure of which of the two rares are best on some of them.
Judgement - Pyronic Damage. I was thinking of going Ion since the damage potential is greater with a max 40 targets but I think Pyronic is the way to go because its more focused and quicker.
Interface - Reactive ?. This is the one I'm most confused about. Could one of you mathematically advanced individuals explain which of the very rares benefits a high recharge/recovery blaster the most? I'm thinking more towards damage since as a fire blaster I can't see anything wrong with more damage but would the debuff have a greater benefit in the long run? Help please.
Lore - Seer Support. Perma Fortitude? Yes please. I also chose Seers because I always outrun field generators and Clockwork's heal over time doesn't excite me as much as more damage. Invulnerable support because I have a hard time keeping non-tanky pets alive.
Destiny - Barrier non-rez. More def/res? Sweet!
Any help would be much appreciated.
