Aww, that's the weekend of my parent's Golden Wedding anniversary. I'd love to come to the auction, but then I'd be dismembered by my mother and strung from the rafters by my own intestines.
But have fun, and raise a lot of inf :-)

I do find it strange that one of the prizes is Union only (effectively)... whilst the event is only being held on the Defiant server.

Well for a number of reasons Gangrel. Specifically we want to offer the best prizes we can and mix them up a bit.
We're already seeing a bit of cross-server migration in the EU so it is an opportunity for someone who plays mainly on Defiant to link up with a group on Union and get a relatively tough badge. As we gear up for the list merge, people will want to make as many contacts as they can so this helps.
It also enables one of our German colleagues on the EERC to take part in our first Auction and in an English-spoken event.
We will be holding events on all four EU servers, and we'll be doing more to encourage cross-server events. This is just a single example.

Is it possible to add their AT?
I dont mind to 'auction' someone who can run with me through missions, got toooo many alts that would like a few missions, but either cant handle much solo (squishy) or cant be killed but cant kill either (tanks :P).
(or i just gonna bid on Avatea to get a 2 hour foto-shoot throughout Paragon island )

Synergy I guess it depends on the individual putting themselves up for auction - and to an extent what people are bidding for.
If you want to bid specifically for some missions and a bit of support then I'm sure we'll be able to find someone who'll stand for a straight forward "Mission team"
However you ask a very good question and one we'd not thought about. So maybe we should make it clear if you're bidding for the Character or the Player

Tri, I'd suggest deciding what you as the Auctionee is most comfortable with. I will be putting my (@Riff) up for auction and then fit in with whoever wins as far as I'm able, so it depends on how you feel. If it's a character then fine or if you want to give us a list equally good.
Golden Girl, so you're gonna be putting yourself up for auction and donating prizes I hope then

So I'll mention a few that I like playing atm and would prefer to play for this too.
Bear in mind that although for some I might add it specifically as they stand out for it all of these toons are fairly to very resiliant (as they're fairly to very good soloers, but that specifically doesn't matter as much here).
- Ciara Delilah - MA/SR Stalker, excellent soloer in almost any content bar TFs.
- Twilight Shield - Shield/Dark Tanker, not much to be said... It tanks, a lot.
- Mizz Behavior - SS/Invul Brute, a step down in survivability on most content from the tanker, but this actually puts out damage too.
- Sorceress Ultimecia - Ill/Storm Controller, makes chaos - good for laughs and still handles heaps (perma-Hasten, perma-PA).
- Glimmerwing - Ill/Rad Controller, does what an ill/rad does... heals a bit, debuffs, hides behind pets (perma-Hasten, perma-AM, perma-IW, perma-PA).
- Miss Melody - Sonic/Sonic Corruptor, it buffs, it debuffs and it hits.
- Wintry Motion - Ice/Kin Corruptor, uhm... SB? It also spreads lot of destruction, though.
Please note all characters are BLUE SIDE.

Hey all! Just popping in from the NA servers to see all of the interest in this European Auction . I've run several auctions on Victory and other servers. I had so much fun running these events, that I suggested EERC run them as well.
Auctionees should do their best to make themselves attractive for bidding. That may mean listing your characters or things that you are specifically good at. Like for me... I would say that I am great at making min/max builds on a budget and running super quick task forces.
When bidding, you bid on the player as a whole and all of their characters, so you can ask them to play anything you'd like, possibly even create something new!
I really wish I could be a part of this event for you Riff, but I might show up on a trial Euro account to help out and be part of the crowd

Thanks to everyone for making our first auction such a great event! Congrats too, to everyone who made successful bids for EERC members, Players and especially the Red Names! Not to mention the MA Code
I'm very pleased to say we've made a lot of inf which we are now very keen to dish out in various events so keep your eyes peeled!

What: A Character Auction hosted by the EERC on Defiant Server
)
When: Saturday 9th April 6pm BST/7pm CET (5pm UTC)
Where: Defiant Pocket D
Who: EERC and YOU!
Why: To have a party, to win prizes and large amounts of Inf, and to provide funds for the EERC to hold future exciting events across the EU community.
How does it work? Read on and think about putting yourself up for auction!
The people who have volunteered to be auctioned off will be known as the auctionees.. The auctionees have agreed to play FOUR hours* with the highest person bidding on them doing anything the bidder wishes within reason and allowable by the Terms of Service (PLing and farming are very discouraged and the auctionee has the right to decline to partake in those events). By agreeing to be an auctionee, you will receive 25% of the winning bid. The following people have agreed to be auctioned off during the Defiant character auction(in no particular order):

We have several other prizes: Spot prizes, Inf etc and an Mo TF of your choice on Union organised by vernichterhelge and a Martial Arts Booster code very generously donated by TsumijuZero.
(*Red Names are only available for 2 hours play and teams must work within their available schedule for obvious reasons)
Everyone else who attends will be bidders. Bidders will bid upon those being auctioned for a chance to win them (or the experience being auctioned). As a bidder, you agree that you have the amount of influence/infamy available to you, and are willing to play the game with the person that you are bidding on. You must be present to win!
Inevitably we need some rules but they are pretty simple:
When bidding, must be a minium of one million inf higher than the previous highest bid, and in increments of whole millions. (so No bids of 2,000,001
Only one active bid at a time, which will be made in the Request/Auction channel. Please keep that channel free for bids, and use broadcast for general chatter, wolf whistles etc.
They must have their team ready. They must be prepared to fit in with the times available to the player/CC who has been won.
Payment must be made prior to any play
No griefing - especially if they win a CC or official Paragon Studios employee. In other words no whining about the state of the game or how rubbish such and such a power set is. Have a fun conversation but appreciate the CC rep isn't their sounding board.
Play to the best of your ability - if you try an "Master of" run and one of the team continually buggers it up then the Auctionee is entitled to call it a day.
If things go wrong due to unforseen circumstance (major power outage, server failure, etc) then the Team and Auctionee can renegotiate a replay.
In the event of any dispute the final decision of the EERC will be final.
All other rules for Paragon/CoH must be observed
