What badges are limited in chances to obtain?

Hey folks,

Very, very green player here. =) I just had a question on badges I couldn't seem to find an answer to in the wikis. Which badges in particular are there very few chances to obtain, either due to experience or just only having one/two/etc. chances to get it?

The main one I'm concerned with is the "Punch Drunk" series (work off X exp debt), as being a new player I have no idea if you can even get debt at level 50. =P There were a few others that got me curious though - like, I know from Ouroborous that you can get the villain side tutorial badge at a later point, but is this also true for the hero/praetorian ones?

Basically, when making characters, are there any badges I should be paying close attention to so that I don't miss them (assuming that I want to get as many as possible on each char)?

Thanks for all your help. =)

Yes, you can get debt at 50. It just reduces the amount of influence you earn, or takes a piece of your patrol experience until it's paid off.

The hero tutorial badge can be earned via Ouroboros, but as of now, no Praetorian content is available via Ouroboros, so the Praetorian tutorial badge is not obtainable to anyone who doesn't get it right away.

Other than that, the exploration badges in Safeguard/Mayhem missions can be tough to get if you out-level them. You can team with players in the correct range, though.

The villain badge Efficiency Expert cannot be obtained via Ouroboros. Each character only gets one shot at that one.

Praetorians can get a few badges that become unavailable after they leave:
Moral High Ground
Resistance Member
Loyalist
Avid Reader <-Praetorian Tutorial badge is a one-shot.
Any anniversary badges are one-shots, and the one gladiator that you get for the first & second anniversary badges cannot be earned anymore.
Efficiency Expert <-No flashback.

Well, I'm glad that I got that one on the first shot, then!

Other than the Efficieny Expert, there are no badges that you can get at level 1 or along the way, that you can't get at 50, though there are some that you can't get depending on your chosen alignment (Primal v Praetorian).

However, there are several badges, such as the anniversary badges, that you cannot get if you missed the window of opportunity. That doesn't seem to be what you're asking though, so I won't waste space listing them all specifically.

Note that you can't get any of these after you leave Praetoria for Primal Earth (in addition to Avid Reader in the tutorial):
Moral High Ground
Resistance Member
Loyalist

So these effectively have a level 1-20 limit.

Also, River Rat and all of the Praetorian exploration badges.

Those aren't limited. You can always go back to Praetoria to get those. Even non-praetorians can earn them. Just go through the portal in PocketD.

Weren't the past anniversary badges available in the ski chalet during the winter event. (for candy canes)?

It was only past Winter Event badges that were available, not anniversary badges.

Passport badge is currently unattainable, though going from the UStream event, it may reappear soon™.
Also Bug Hunter is incredibly rare now, since there are very little instances of serious game-breaking bugs.
