Generic Temp Powers
You mean like the (14) fourteen temp powers recipes they just added in Issue 17?
Yeah before that all we had since Issue 9 was St. Louis Slammer, Gabriel's Hammer, Revolver, and Ethereal Shift.
Oh and 33 of those temp powers listed on the wiki can be gotten over and over thru Ouro missions. Completeing the mission to get them is the requirement instead of getting the recipe and salvage together and crafting them.
Same goes for all the PvP temp powers that you can get over and over, the Vanguard temp powers that can be bought as often as needed with Vanguard Merits.
All combined that's over 60+ temp powers that we can get over and over as soon as they expire. I'm not including Event temp powers because access to them is restricted to the Events.
I should have been more specific. I wish we had more craftable drops.
Actually, I would care for less craftable drops since they drop too frequently and take up space in my recipe storage. More uncommon and rare craftable drops will be good, but no more common recipes.
The first step in being sane is to admit that you are insane.
I'd be ok with more being added if the drop rate for all temp powers was lowered significantly. My inventory gets cluttered up with these way too fast. 99% of them just get instantly deleted. If they were rare I might get a little excited when one dropped.

Now while more options will always be preferred it takes time and resources to create and test them to make sure they aren't unbalancing to the game. They also have to take a backseat to more important issues because let's face it, craftable temp powers aren't a high priority issue and never will be.

Also no one is forcing us to hold onto them once they drop. It only takes seconds to delete them, or we can sell them at a Vendor like we do with all the other stuff thgat drops that we don't want to use or sell at the market.
And don't try to make the argument that selling the stuff takes time away from the game because if those recipes weren't dropping you'd still be getting other crap you can't use in their place.
Not getting them doesn't mean you'd automatically be getting items you value in their place.

i wouldnt mind them so much if temporary power recipes had their own specific recipe storage or just plain didnt count in the total limit of recipes a toon could hold
the reason i say that is because as pointed above 99% of the time they are just worthless and poeple get them more than they really care too, as well as a large large majority of the temps are not even worth crafting aside from the fact they are funny and neat to have at times but overly ineffective in most situations. the only ones which are really worth saving are most of the rare and a few uncommon ones because they include stuff like med kit, ethereal shift, backup radio, envenomed dagger, and recovery serum (to name a few)
most everything that is common is completely worthless to me because its just a weak petty attack that burns end and would only be semi useful at the lower levels when your limited on your total number of powers

The store could sell already made items for more than the recipes. I wish I knew why the devs insist on not using the locations that were built into the game environment over 7 years ago and insist that such things be random drops. A punisher like character should be able to drop by the local surplus store and buy what he needs.

EDIT: In essence, this would be similar to walking into an arena and buying a power at the front desk. Aleibt your not restricted to only using them in the Arena.
Best idea I have seen so far. You could stop by the natural store for things like shotguns, frag grenades, and sledgehammers. Technology could have things EMP Gloves and grenades, and plasmatic tasers. Long bows and claymores for magic, and I'm not sure what you could do for mutant and science.

So heres my situation. I have a Blaster that lacks superpowers and uses and assault rifle and Devices. I his lore though, he is more akin to the Punisher. To keep up with his RP i buy as many gun based (and others like the hand grenades) temp powers as I can... which is the revolver and thats about it.
I looked on Paragon wiki to find more weapons and found most of the minor temp powers like Shotgun and Flamethrower you have to get from a side mission in the Safeguard/Mayhem missions. Problem is, that is a lot to go through for a Shotgun with only 15 shells. This includes some minor quest rewards like the Chain Gun and Stolen SMG that arn't apart of these missions, but none the less, are still trouble to get.
What I am suggesting is that we get more craftable temp powers that arn't the quest specific ones (Ghostslayer Rifle, Thermite Cannon). Since these powers hardly seem like they would make an acutal difference in combat, having them more readily avalibe shouldn't ruin the game in anyway. I have never PvP'ed but I'm guessing players don't see temp powers like these getting used that often.
