Was thinking maybe they could add more power slots for veteran players plus 69 month mark only i think we all could benefit from a couple extra power slots

Hell no.
Why should only 5.75yr Vets get more powerful characters?
This is a MAJOR game breaker if only SOME get it.
Imagine that in PvP - 2 characters of the same AT/Sets/level going at it but 1 (the Vet) has more slots/set bonuses.

Vet Rewards are meant to be a way to thank the player by giving small benefits (free temp powers, Free Merits/xp, free respecs, destructable pets that give a small buff, etc). Things that dont affect a character all that much.

Actually, no, I have several characters who throw power slots into "throwaway" locations because they *don't* need them. About the only ones who could are Kheldians, specifically multiform Khelds, and IOs have helped that out a lot.

Look into the IO system and frankenslotting. You don't even have to chase sets - just take advantage of what multi-aspect IOs can do for you. Wiki article on Frankenslotting - essentially you can, via frankenslotting, get more out of a fewer number of slots than just the straight enhancements/IOs would give you.

This is also part of the reason more slots would be bad- you have to decide what's more important while setting up your build and aim for that.

And definitely no to anything like this as a vet reward.

Absolutely not. This is terrible idea.

Did Power start a new account and backslide?

Ok, first off, please learn the difference between these two words.

Secondly, people have been asking for more enhancement slots for some time now. Especially since the Fitness pool became inherent. The devs said then that just because they gave us the opportunity to select three/four new powers in our builds, didn't mean that they thought we should get more slots.

While you aren't basing this request on Inherent Fitness, the responce is still the same. It's not needed. And DEFINITELY not for only veterans.

Funny thing is, a spell checker wouldn't even help, he's not misspelling them, just replacing them with different words that sound the same.

The idea is still HORRIBLE though.

Veteran players would get more slots for their powers than newbies? Hell no, there's enough complaining about the Vet rewards as it is, if this happened the complaining would be completely justified (about that reward at least)

I like the idea! Only because it upsets so many people!

Really. A one time 1-2 slots as a vet reward won't make that big of a difference. It'll make a bit of a difference sure, but nothing so drastic to be OMG! I don't have it over.

And for that reason alone, a one time, +1-2 slots on a character would be AWESOME!

In fact, when I say this, I want it to actually be 1-2 slots! You click [Accept Reward] and it rolls on the table a 50/50 chance for 1 or 2 slots!.

The outcry! The constant rerolling of new toons who rolled 1 slot. IT WOULD BE AWESOME!

Haha.

No.

This ranks high up there in the bad ideas ladder. Somewhere between "Give Vets a nuke" and "Let me buy slots from the NC Store".

People have been asking for more slots for powers for years.
The Devs finally gave us an answer to that.
It's called the Alpha Incarnate slot.

It's not the Devs' fault that you didn't realize they already gave you what you're asking for. *shrugs*

While it would be awesome to get more slots it would also be terribly unbalancing to the game. Especailly as Vet rewards. Those 1-2 slots extra slots can let a small number of players finish slotting IO sets and force the majority of players to wait years before they can get their characters on an equal footing.
