Why won't people respec their fitness powers?

I set up my builds on the fly based on the Set IO pieces I have on hand or could reasonably afford to buy, assuming it's available to be bought at all. This means time checking my 6 Bases, checking my bids on the Market, checking which character has enough Reward Merits to use if I had to settle for that, etc. In addition, each time I use up my resources means the next character will have less to work with.

This is a lot of work to impose on myself when my existing build, which I had been considering to be "the final build" all this time, is still serving me well.
I am with you in this. Respeccing is serious business, for I try to manage my performance at multiple levels, since I do the various level TFs available in the game. Thus what powers you want to have when you do a Positron, are very dependent on how you respec for instance.

I had this conversation last night with a friend after running a Tin Mage:

FRIEND: Hmm, I really should respec this character to take advantage of Inherant Fitness.

ME: Why hadn't you done it yet?

FRIEND (thinks for a second): I guess because the 25 minutes it takes to respec is 25 minutes I could instead be fighting stuff.

Also, I respecced a 50, figured I could get myself Focused Accuracy now, for the concept of keen senses for the Acc debuff protection. Which of course costs lots of End but, gives some Acc. So (among other things) I had to reslot my attacks to have a little less Acc and save more End. Which turned out to be not enough, since the End use of attacks under a moderate End debuff is hard to guesstimate, so I ran out of End. So had to gather 500 Candy Canes (as everyone on my server was too busy with Winter Event to do a respec trial) and respec again. Which helped the issue some, but not quite. So I have to respec again.
Will I want to go through 3 or more respecs on another 50 anytime soon? No thanks.

It's not as easy as 'pick three awesome powers that you always forgot to consider' for everybody.

That wasn't me, but it might as well have been; plus I often only have an hour a day to play to start with.

Here's another vote for respecs being a PITA.

For me, I wont be respeccing all my toons. Some of them have IO's and its simply too much of a pain in the posterior to work out a new build and juggle any differences in the IOs that may occur from selecting new powers. Powers I have not yet selected from primaries or secondaries do not offer a significant benefit to make the respec worth while.

I also do not play most of my 50s often enough to bother toiling with a respec.

Powers that offer some sort of support or benefit for the team are already selected on my toons that were built with support of benefit for teams in mind.

Perhaps over time I will eventually respec all of my toons for the inherent fitness pool, but I'm in no hurry. Besides, every time I encounter someone who publicly gets irked that my toon has not been adjusted for the new inherent fitness pool... a dirty little smile sneaks across my face!

I am closing this thread as it isn't going anywhere constructive. For all the reasons listed, some people do not wish to respec. This is ultimately a choice left up to the individual and is not something that should be questioned. Some people wish to respec, others do not. At the end of the day all points are valid.
