www.microsoft.com/IE9

release is out for all NT6 Operating Systems. (that's Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008)

Granted, most reviews of IE9 indicate that there isn't much in the browser that would make it a better browser than Google Chrome, Mozilla FireFox, Mozilla SeaMonkey, Opera, or even KDE Konqueror for that matter... but the IE9 update seems to bring an updated Explorer.exe executable and plugs several security holes.

More importantly (to me anyway) they're implementing some CSS3 things and fixing some CSS2 incompatibilities.

It's very Chromey in its UI design (mind you, so is FF4) which I don't really like. If I want to turn off all the window chrome I'll press F11, otherwise I quite like all my toolbars 'n' stuff

Seems fast enough though.

Yeah. I've moved to using Seamonkey more often because of the UI changes to FireFox and other browsers.

I appreciate the interface Google designed for the Chrome... and I accept that it probably is very useful to the... um... type of person that um... (mod05 is probably gonna have to delete this)... plays World of Warcraft.

It just isn't the UI for me.

As anyone with any computer-using relatives will attest, upgrading everyone's Internet Explorer to be more secure and robust is a good thing. It will save us countless man-hours in troubleshooting.

Cry mich ein river! MS is actively trying to kill IE6 off, there is no excuse.

Here's another vote for Seamonkey.

I'm honestly surprised someone actually remembered Opera exists for desktops and laptops personally.
