Demons/Posion build request
Ok. I'm a bit down the line and I'm almost at 50. So I sat down and have worked on a build. This is pretty much the first that I've put together from scratch so hopefully I've not done anything too stupid.
Some purples in there, nothing too expensive and I'm not that bothered about cost. I'm not going to be equipping a full set of Apocs but I can pretty easily manage everything I've included here (I hope!) Respec build, so slot placement etc is for a 50 and about 90% of the time all teamed up.
Toon came up through Prae and hasn't gone to the Rouge Isles. If a PPP will make such a significant difference, I can move her across but I'm not so keen otherwise.

Not the best at coming up with specialtiy builds, but a big hole I see if that your demon prince simply won't work. He chews threw end like mad and you have 0 end reduction in him. Even if you were to go cardiac core (which I'd recomend anyway) he'd still be going dry after a long fight with no end reduction otherwise. Also, pretty sure that the chance for healing is mostly wasted on him. I'd drop that for an add/dam/end, and switch the pure damage for a dam/end. I'd switch chance for +2 hold for either an end/movement HO or maybe dam/mez.
And alkaloid, I'd go heal/end IO or HO.
Re-read post, and noticed you said this is your first MM, so something you may not realise, set bonuses don't apply to pets. They benifit from the def/resist pet procs, but all the def from set bonuses, +hp, +accuracy, and +damage don't work on your pets, only you. Anyway, just thought I should point that out incase you were unaware, and I'll likely have more insights when I'm more awake, that is if another poster doesn't beat me to it.
That...was a Herocon 09 exclusive easter egg. The powerset will not have doves associated with it.
Namely because you guys would want to color tint the damn doves, or make them hawks/ravens/flying sharks/etc and that's just a headache I do...not...want...to deal with. |

This is my Demon's Poison I am working towards. He is currently at level 41. I am waffling a bit between chill mastery and force mastery. My main emphasis was end for pets, end for recasting, mezz and resist bonuses and rcharge bonus.

Tried to stick close to how you had your build (was assuming you knew what you wanted) but made a few changes. Lost a hair of def, gained some recharge. My build also has 1 slot left over to place whereever you like since I couldn't see where it'd make a big deal. Pets should have much better end management, though I'd imagine cardiac will still help a bit. Also got a bit of accuracy in envenom while preserving your set bonuses, but I agree that it could likely use a little more.

Not trying to derail the post, but I don't see many /Poison threads. Quick question b/c I am thinking about either a Demon/Poison or Robot/Poison MM...does the Demon Prince go into melee often enough to utilize Noxious Gas?

Yes, much more than the Assault bot. He uses more ranged attacks than Bruiser, but when he pops out his Greater Ice Sword Circle attacks, it's really butt-kicking time at that point.

Another factor you might note is that the ember demon will heal YOU. That can be huge. Truthfully -regen is needed on some hard targets while having an ice component attack might be big on big burning foes like Baphomet.

Just wanted to say thanks again everyone - in particular to Come Undone for the build! Between the servers going down and rushing to get the toon at least a T1 alpha slotted for i20, I haven't really sat down to work on the build since. Certainly made some changes to my original plan based on you guys and I've picked up a bunch of the enh that I'm certain will go in there in some way.
I suspect that i20 tomorrow will push this a bit down the list but I'll come back with my build soon(ish)!

If you want I'll try to remember to put his build up here but he only has common IOs (and the 4 pet proc IOs in Hell on Earth)...so you could get an idea of what I did but wouldn't have any set bonuses to really look at.
Noxious Gas is fun/powerful but it always seemed to be my luck that the AVs/GMs would run away from my pet when I put Noxious Gas on him

If you want I'll try to remember to put his build up here but he only has common IOs (and the 4 pet proc IOs in Hell on Earth)...so you could get an idea of what I did but wouldn't have any set bonuses to really look at. I'm trying to figure out now which would be the best way to build the MM at this point. Should I go with ranged softcapping or plus up the HPs of the MM. I have a build now that gets it around 1350, but not sure if between that and BG mode if it will pan out.

Hey Global DJB, I know you said you wouldn't want to go redside for a patron pool, but I figured I'd post my demon/poison build anyway, until i have time to work on one that uses only blueside ancilliaries. This build has capped smashing, lethal, energy, and ranged defense, with a modest amount of recharge and good recovery. Hope it helps some!

Hi folks.
I recently came back to the game and rolled my first Mastermind. Demons and Poison sounded liked a good fun combo and so I rolled one up. I'm at 35 now and enjoying playing it a lot... knowing what I know now I'd have gone with something as a secondary but as I said, I'm enjoying playing it
I'm currently only IO'd up. I'm looking in another window about slotting at least some basic pet sets in the mid 30s and seeing what I can get into the Poison slots. End is a HUGE issue for me. I've just respeced out everything from Demons that isn't actually Demon powers and lash and am building up Leadership and Medicine for support. So I'm going to look for some cheap sets to put in there for the run to 50.
I've taken a look back and can't find a Demons/Poison thread and I'm not sure the sets that I've seen in threads for other/Poison are always comparable. So I'd appreciate it a lot if someone had a build for me to take a look at.
