Is there a website to download other peoples AE mission creations?

I ask because it would help in learning the thing better if we could see how things are done by the more experienced designers.

Can't look at the inner workings of those to learn from them.

I was thinking more of a hub that had the files zipped up or something, so we just unzip and move to the right folders in order to study them

Sounds like it could be down through the Titan network or Paragonwiki, but not sure who/how it would be done. Wanna volunteer

As far as I know, such a beast does not exist. I know what you mean though, there have many times when I ran across something cool in an AE mission and said "cool, I wanna do that, I wish I could peek behind the curtain"

In theory you could package things up and post them here as code or a zip fragment. No idea what the size limit on a post is here, and the profanity filter can step in to make things difficult.

Costume files have been done this way but AE might be too large.

I seem to recall in the early days of AE someone set up such a site. I think I uploaded a group from my first mish there, or something like that; I can't recall if they were set up for the whole shebang though. And of course I no longer have it bookmarked so that's about all I can tell you. :/

Khainestar from the EU boards had something to do this at cityofguides.com. But the site is now defunct unfortunately and they haven't been around for ages.

There was a US player who had designed a site to something similar but I've no idea what happened with it

The repository I think some are referring to is/was a website named www.cohmission.com. The domain name is no longer valid.

Other AE sites such as http://cohmissionreview.com/ still refer to it though, but the link is dead. I think that http://coh.unlimited2.net/ is the same site, but apparently has not been updated in quite a while.

http://www.masearch.somee.com/ is another site I tracked down during this quick look around the web.

I think one of those sites was the one I looked at way back when, yeah. Kind of a shame to lose/forget about such a possibly useful resource for the game! Then again, I suppose if it was really useful, it wouldn't have been forgotten... at any rate, hopefully AA can find something useful there.

Thanks for the input, everyone.

I have it within my means to put such a website together as a subdomain, if there's a demand for it. I'll have to think about it.
