I also forgot to mention, I drew a horizon line and used a vanishing point for the two ruts in the ground. Now the feet look like they are both sliding in the same direction. lol

This interested me as i'm currently trying out a lot of metal techniques. (Reckon as over half my characters are robots or cyborgs, i need to, lol) I've used a technique called SE (sky/earth) metal here, which is a way to depict highly polished metal. I'm not 100% with it yet, so any advice would be most welcomed, but was happy enough with it to post. It's a style not everyone gets, some see metal, some not, hope it suits the character most of all. Cheers H

I know that this is supposed to be collab, but I started coloring my own drawing. And when I say coloring, I mean painting. It's a new technique that I've been calling Smudge Painting. Anyway, Here are the details that I posted at DeviantArt, which you can go download the full sized version here
I have started working on the color portion of Fr0stbyte's H0T SH0T character. I am attempting a smudge brush form of painting, where I create the flats, use a layer mask to isolate the section, and then start smudging in other colors. I am really liking where it is going so far. Completed section enlarged to show detail.
H0T SH0T here has been knocked back by an attack of some sort, and is preparing to unleash a fire blast at his foe. I am still trying to decide whether to add a drop of blood on the corner of his mouth, or if that is too cliche.

It's not so much as actually inking it.. I just sketched over your lines
. It is where I noticed I couldn't figure out where a couple of the lines went or what they were for. That makes it difficult for me to colour it. I don't know how other artists feel about this.
Like... the square-like plate-ish part on his chest...should it have more details on it? And what are those bubbly rays? A power? (it's very possible that I'm overlooking something
)Don't worry about it though. It's hard to put in all the details with pencil on an A4 piece of paper. You simply don't have the room.
But once digitalized, you'll see that there's ALL the room for details *cheers happily*.
So this is what I have. Click on it to get the actual sized one. It's a .png image which doesn't have a background and which is 1500x1836px
Feel free to alt where needed ofcourse!

So first drawing in a long while and DD, being awesome as usual,
laid down some nice colors. *click for access to much larger version*
If anyone feels up to the challenge the vines/thorns could use
some color and I think Belladonna's outfit should be more purple-ish.
Also a basic background could be added, nothing too busy that would clash with the
stuff in the foreground but maybe some blue sky with a few clouds or some greenery could be tried.

One question though looking at the refs are there
supposed to be notches in the side to look more like an X or not?
Laid down some flats and tried the power FX for her eyes.
