Arcs/TFs/Missions

Has anyone ever created a hero or villain, and run all the content? I was thinking about this today, it would be a combination of xp and xp off, so that they haven't outlevelled contacts. Anyone tried this?

I was thinking of it, once a week, running solo and teaming where required. Any thoughts on this?

Not currently possible if you count Praetoria. A Praetorian native can't run lv1-20 non-arc missions outside Praetoria, and a Primal native can't run Praetorian missions.

If you don't count Praetorian and don't care about non-arc missions, it's very easy to do via Ouroboros.

I wasn't thinking of using Ouroboros, except to run the missions there. Sorry, I wasn't counting Praetoria either in my thinking. I would attempt to run all Blueside TFs, Contact missions, so getting things like Spelunker and Negotiator without running them in Ouro.

There have been a number of posts by people who mention the strategy of turning off exp at each 5 level increment until all arcs are finished (level 4, level 9, level 14, level 19, etc) to do this specific thing. This also accomodates Fulmens point about the non-oro content.

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

I did this with my scrapper back at release. I soloed exclusively with her, did nothing but arcs (after -finding- them, stupid old-style contacts) and kept myself at the debt cap. I managed to do every blue-side arc at the time (although I had outlevelled Croatoa by the time it was added in) but it was a tight fit there at the end. At the time I don't think we had the option of turning off experience.

Running all five 1-5 contacts, for instance, is going to be tricky. There are some non-arc non-badge Rikti missions that you can only get your first time through the game (Angus McWhatsizface maybe?) I'm sure there are others. Doc Science maybe?
As I said, Ouroboros only applies if you don't care about non-arc missions.

I rolled a stalker last year to do exactly what you described for redside (and i did it till lvl 15).

Before the release of GR, i thought to use this toon to complete heroes sides content with it too (and hopefully Praet through Ouro)

But.... with non available Praet arcs through Ouroboros, combined with all the Incarnate craze, and badgehunting craze (just after i18 release)... this project was left behind

Was thinking of trying this with a dual pistols/tech blaster. Need to think about it though.

With my main toon I have done every blueside arc, but when he went villain as a 50 I was limited to Ouro and the generousity of lowbies. Appearently there aren't as many lowbie VEATS out there, or not as many lowbie VEATS that need/want help, as there are lowbie HEATS. So I missed a few VEAT missions, and its possible I missed a handful of red non-flashbackable missions.

I'm happy with my progress so far, but I REALLY want those goldside badges!

Another thought was an elec/invul scrapper. Any other thoughts on that?

If we're taking just content on one side, yes, I have done this with a hero. I turned off XP at 4, 9, 14, 19, 24, 29, 34, 39 and 44 (if you go to the even 5's many contacts will not talk to you) until I did every story and mission from every contact, no matter be it arc, or hunt or single mission. The only thing I went back for were the trials and TF's, which you can always exemp for (but I had to find a character in the level range for the Eden Trial since the bug is still there). Did a lot of it solo, teaming at times an when required.

Yes, it took a very long time to finally get to 50.

You'd definatly have to turn off XP... and it'd take some homework redside because a lot of content is unlockable, and you won't find it unless you know how to unlock it (who's going to just accidently drag 10 ghosts into a traps and kill them?)

I gotta make pain. I gotta make things right. I gotta stop what's comin'. 'Least I gotta try.

I'm going to start one redside and it is a lot more difficult. Not only are there contacts you must get a certain badge for, but there are also contacts that will stop talking to you at odd levels. Some you need to start and complete before you hit 9 on Mercy. There are a few that you need to do before you hit 14 or 19 etc, so you need to turn off your XP at 8 or 13 or 23. Even if you read the Wiki, that is wrong in several places.

To answer the other question, I did this with a claws/sr scrapper hero side. Still deciding what I want to do the Villian content with.

Are you on the Victory server by chance? I just started playing the game about 5 days ago and I have some lowbies as well as some concepts I still want to try out. I still haven't made my assault rifle corruptor yet, I could start her up on the Rogue Isles if there were people to group with.

I love to group, and so far I HATE the villain zones. They have significantly more walls / dead ends than hero zones, and unless I turn up the gamma they hurt my eyes too. I think Captain Havana is my only red-zone villain; the others are in Praetoria.

TL;DR - I'm @Demacian on the Victory server and feel free to consider me a "generous lowbie"!

There's a player on Virtue who did this for at least a few characters. He would level a character to the upper end of each range (i.e. 4, 9, 14, etc.) and then turn off XP until his contacts completely ran out of missions to give him.

I teamed with him a few times, not really my thing but he was a great source of teams in the mid-levels .
