Ugh, are we back to the weird 'You can talk about steaks, because they were served near HeroCon!' Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon topic justification rules?

Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.

Wrestling, Thundercats and the *other* MLP thread remained untouched.

So I think it was more a case of deleted it without thinking and is simply unwilling to admit they made a mistake really.

Either that or there's a traumatic MLP related incident in Mod5s past which the images in the thread triggered memories of.

No, we're at the "My Little Pony is equally as valid a topic as Transformers or G.I. Joe" stage of justification. Toy-selling cartoon gets comics that expand upon the characters, and then new series and new toys. Arbitrarily excluding them because they're pastel ponies is just silly.

Goodbye may seem forever
Farewell is like the end
But in my heart's the memory
And there you'll always be

I sent him a PM pointing out that the original cartoon was produced at least in part by Marvel, and that they published a comic for it in the mid 80s that ran for a few years, and that more recently Tokyopop published a limited series of comics/manga for it. But since when has being wrong ever stopped moderators before?
I think Kelso has something to contribute to your fantastic point.
