New Fiftly....Blah

I spent forever leveling my Defeder to 50...and now shes there. I'm sad.

She cant hit anything. She's emp Psi, and altough she was never my main she has become my main due to her usefullness.

I subbed for 6 months becausel I Lke the gaame.

I just cant find anything to make me stick with one thing.

I have a stalker, a Dom, a Widow, a Warshade, a controller who is scappy, and, and my defender.

Part of my probem, stems fom being new, the other aspect is that Im used to playing classical healers (My own fault),,it just seems that the other folks are having a blast and Im just hanging out (But with cool boots)

I hate to ask someone what I should play as my main....But I know that the widow fits me completely. Seriously...I love her...Alot.

Right now, being frustrated, I will take any word of advice.

Your main should be something that you enjoy playing a lot. So, the Widow. Put your time into the character, pour your resources into her build, but most importantly HAVE FUN!

If you want to play a healer type that's more active, there's Thermal where you'll be recasting shields regularly. You'll also have a couple of good debuffs that are handy to use on AVs.

I want to, but red is sometimes hard to come by groups. My Blue healer always has group fun. I just wish there was someting like a Widow for the blue side.

Either way, I will remain loyal to the game becuase In my oppinion this is a really nice bunch of folks.

You can make a Thermal hero.

So switch sides and take the Widow blueside.

Also - to get teams either side - have you joined your server's global channel where teams are formed? You can find the names out if you check the server forums below.

Play what you feel like. I've been here about 8 months. I have one 50, a tanker, who I'm very fond of, but I have a stable of 26 characters over 2 servers, most of whom I play semi-regularly, and I periodically clean out the ones I'm less keen on and roll new combinations. If you're enjoying the game, don't feel like you need to have a "main". Just play what you feel like.

1) You can tweak the Emp- get a plan, do a respec trial, boost those attacks. The lazy emp (Fortitude, Adrenaline Boost, RA) helps the team more, and has more time to engage in their hobbies [e.g. exploding fools' heads.]

2) If you like the Widow, play the Widow. If you're on your servers' global channels, and you've friended and global friended the good players you found, that helps find groups.

3) You don't, really, have to choose. Play what you feel like playing. Play two, or five, or ten different characters. (cue someone who's going to say "I have three hundred and eighty! and I play them ALL! ")

I have three hundred and eighty and I play....no wait. Thats lie.

Play what you have fun with Nyx. Both my Empathy/Sonic Defender and my Fire/Empathy Controller are tough. Great fun on teams and solo.

I used my second build for my Emp/Psi and removed things I did not enjoy. Sure she is still heavy on the heals, but I got rid of powers in my attack chain that

A: were just not hitting or not hitting for enough
B: Amped up my attack chain for more accuracy
C: Took some leadership in place of powers I did not like
D: Took Power Mastry again, but this time slotted it more

Of course now my attack chain is a Snipe, TK Blast, Will domination, and Scramble thoughts and while that sounds unimpressive, it's actually working much better than my original build, because I can still focus on healing.

I have decided to bring my Widow over though. Seriously, that AT is pretty fun, and those dart thingies...well I like the fun sound effect.

Why do you need to have a main character at all? I have 12(?) 50s and none of them are my main. Play whatever makes you happy when you want to play it.
