SS/SD all around build. How does this look?

Been leveling up my SS/SD brute and I'm having a total blast with him. I want to set him out when he hits 50 but I'm not 100% sure about his build. Currently I can't get the Glad Armor Def +3% IO unique so I had to do without it. I know he won't excel in everything, but I want him to be as good of an all rounder as I can get him (Soloing/Teaming/Tanking/Farming). This is the build that I came up with, any advice/critique/Improvements would be welcome. I really wanted more recharge in the build (planning for the Cardiac Alpha slot), but that's the best I could get. So yeah...help?

P.S: One thing I like about how this turned out is that once I get my hands on the Glad Armor proc (it's just a thought..if I decide I like him enough I might just do it) is that I can plug it in and safely lose 1 of the 3.75% Def bonuses (or two of the 1.875% in case of the AoE) in each position so I can get more recharge and still be softcapped.

I'm not taken by wasting slots in stamina like that. I'm assuing you're heading for the AoE def there? You'd do better off with up-slotting CJ/SJ with Zephyr and being able to drop some range def elsewhere you're reaching for.

Alternately: have you considered maneuvers. You'd have to drop a pool, but I think SS/inherit hurdle/ninja run/jetpacks makes for a compelling argument of not needing CJ/SJ. ninja takes care of most CJ micro maneuvering and jetpacks are easily available when you have to get somewhere tall.

Really wish a scrapper/brute/tank epic pool had a, you know, self-heal in it... I suppose that'd be broken with something like dark melee already having one, but... they give other defender/controller type powers, how about a heal? What I need is NOT more damage...

That's true. But, the thing is, SS/SD is extremely Endo demanding. Between the Rage Crash every 90 or so seconds, Hasten Crash every 120, Active Defences every 70 or so, and FootStomp taking 15 End every 7 seconds or so, KnockOut Blow taking 11 every 9 or so I can use every last tiny bit of recovery I can squeeze out of the build. So 6 slotting Stamina is dual beneficial for me. I don't think it's a waste in this particular build.

Well. I need CJ to hit Softcap, and I really want Hasten in the build so Footstomp and Shield Charge come up more often. Aid Self is extremely useful to have on a defence based toon, and of course Weave is needed for softcap. So even if I wanted to get rid of my travel power I won't be able to ditch a pool sadly.


And yes, I agree. A Self heal in the brute/scrapper epic would be....just epic, lol. But yeah, it'll be overpowered since there are multiple sets with a self heal like Dark Melee or Fiery Armor or Electric Armor or Energy Aura.

Please excuse the thread jack..I didn't wanna form a new thread when one was readily available. Maybe you can take some ideas from it? I went off Twilight's build. Softcapped, with Darkest Night for some extra breathing room when +tohit comes into play (CoP)as well as Gloom. Things I wish I knew how to fix. Stamina Better slotted, which can be kind of fixed by the Cardiac Alpha.
More Recharge/HP, I'm only at 40% recharge, and barely an HP. I've been told 2.3k is good to aim for, I have no clue how to get there without sacrificing what I have already.

Your underslotting true grit will bite you later. That needs heal and probably res slots -- if nothing else it needs a steadfast prot +3% def slotted. You don't want to wait till 49 to slot that it helps huge in the early levels.

I'd be throwing a nummies somewhere, and two end mod IOs in stamina before the chance for. Chance for = chance to get unlucky and roll badly and run out. Go with the known quantity.

Boxing is a junk attack; pull slots from it to put elsewhere where you need them (health -> numina's unique, stamina -> end mod). You should have a full attack chain with punch/haymaker/knockout/gloom.

Aid other and stimulant is overkill, drop one of 'em. In particular that lets you get maneuvers and quit stretching so far elsewhere for set bonuses to softcap. Or hasten, your choice.

Ok so that build still turned down on me. Even with the T3 Cardiac my Endurance still suffers when I'm in continuous battles (Farming, or active team). So I have to fix that. I think I'll have to bite it and switch Epics for Energy mastery. I should be able to respec into the new build by tomorrow. If it works out for me I'll post it here.

I was kinda wondering about taking energy mastery too, I'm kinda new at this but here's what I kinda threw together for a more endurance friendly build. Critique is welcome, I know I probably missed something but w/e. Also, Soul Mastery really just doesn't match my character at all so... it'd look kinda weird and I don't wanna have to take the time to cast Darkest Night on someone when I'm playing a brute

Slots do increase it. One slot will get you about 2 more end [how I currently have mine slotted].

Now the value of that 2 end, I dunno.

Two by itself is not a whole lot, but when added to other endurance gains from IO's and accolades it will add up. My Kin/EnA brutes shows in Mids to have 126 End total at 50. ( I just wasnt for sure about Superior Conditioning adding as much as it shows.)
