On the horns of a dilemma.
Didn't you get a GTX 460 SE?
Doesn't matter, the GTX 560 Ti (someone really needs to beat nVidia's marketing department about the head and shoulders, confusing your customers with suffixes isn't a viable marketing strategy) is a really nice card.
Faster than a GTX 470 but with lower power requirements and is whisper quiet with it's reference cooler. Roughly 30% faster than a stock clock GTX 460 1GB, roughly 50% faster than a stock clock GTX 460 SE at 1920x1200 with AA (across a cross-section of games). Uses about 30 watts more 12 volt power over the GTX 460.
Due to the cooler design it vents the hot air into the case so good air circulation in the case is a must.

Sadness. Requires a 500 watt power supply. Still, nice price and have been happy with EVGA for a while.

Agreed about the silly naming conventions.
And not worried about case cooling. I still have several 120mm fan spots available to me if need be.
Unless you can't afford the $40 I can't think of a reason to not Step-up.
But still I fear and still I dare not laugh at the madman!

Procrastination meter coming soon.
Assuming you got the 460 for under $200 (which is incredibly likely) it's a good deal.

One piece of nastiness with the Step-Up process.
There is NO cross-shipping.
So if it's the only card in your system, you essentially have to take your system offline for a week or more (unless you're paying through the nose for expidited shipping).
This is why I like having a capable backup.

Okay, as people know, I recently bought a GTX460.
Well, the GTX560 Ti has come out now.
Oh yeah, and I bought EVGA, so the Step-Up program will make it cost me a whopping $40.
Would I? Should I? Could I?
