Energy Aura suggestion

When Energy Mastery and Body Mastery APPs were made available for brutes and stalkers, respectively, the Conserve Power, err, power was replaced by Superior Conditioning. I think, because those ATs could already get Conserve Power from Energy Aura secondary.

I suggest the reverse:
1. Add electric APPs to both stalkers and brutes. Make Conserve Power one of the first powers in those APPs.
2. Replace Conserve Power in Energy Aura with new powers. This would violate the Cottage Rule, but only partially as 35 is pretty close to 41. And Energy Aura already has end management with Energy Drain.
3. The new powers I suggest would be:
Brutes:
Energy Halo
description: Forms an energy field around casters head that can deflect mental attacks and protects against Fear and Confuse efects
effect: toggle, +def(psi) +protection(Fear, Confuse)
purpose: plugs the psi hole, but not too soon. Matches well with the exotic status effect protection (teleport, repel) in Entropic Shield

Stalkers:
Distortion Cloak
description: Bends light around you in a chaotic pattern. The distorted appearance makes caster slightly harder to hit and defend against.
effect: toggle, +def(all) - low value, +to hit
purpose: additional mitigation and offense

Comments ?

I do not suffer from altitis, I enjoy every character of it.

No to power removal, thanks. Yes, I do use that on my EAs. And the cottage rule has nothing to do with level.

If you want to *add* to it, fine. Remove, absolutely not. I don't want to be forced to respec into an APP/PPP I may not otherwise want in order to get the same functionality back.

I'm still standing by my suggestion of changing CP into a toggle aura that drains and gives an End Reduction bonus per foe in range to add up to CP's current numbers.

@Rylas

Kill 'em all. Let XP sort 'em out.

Personally I would like to see Conserve Power get a secondary effect, like with ElA's "Energize." But not a heal, as Energy Drain has that covered. I'd most like to see a major boost in defense resistance (which I think should happen to the rest of the set too) and a lowered recharge time.

I'd also like to see something happen with the same power in the Blaster's Energy Manipulation set, maybe with a resistance to endurance drain or stun.

I'm still behind the idea of turning Conserve Power into an energy version of Fiery Embrace, giving you a moderate endurance discount to powers and adding an energy component to all your attacks. Make the set an offensive set that uses defense.

I like that idea too, especially since Stalkers don't get Fiery Aura.

I'm all for some EA buffing, but I don't think this is the way to go.

How about this:

Prismatic Aura

By purchasing this power, you will be granted the Emerald Shield, Ruby Shield, and Sapphire Shield toggles. Activating these toggles will grant you a resistance bonus to Smashing/Lethal(Emerald), Energy/Fire(Ruby), and Negative Energy/Cold/Psionic(Sapphire). These toggles are mutually exclusive and only one can be active at a time.

I like this idea.

In conjunction with the above suggestion, I would also overhaul Energy Drain since there would be some overlapping redundancies. Instead of the way it current works, change the name into Energy Conversion (also clickable) with similar cool-down. It will take little endurance to activate but once clicked, it will apply a 3 second effect during which the user will gradually convert a percentage of his endurance into hitpoints. The conversion ratio would be around 1 to 2 so maybe a base of 15 points of endurance cost in exchange for a base of 30% hps healed. This would make it effectively a DoT heal. Lastly, the power will accept Heal IOs/SOs/etc but not Endurance Modification enchancements.
