But one really quick tip is that you WANT FE and you want it with at least two slots for rech in it, imo its now the best power in FA.

OK - my brute has fiery embrace but my tank does not. How do I remove data chunks?

All I can say is that 64 months ago, I made my very first character, a Fire/Fire Tanker. He then ended up sitting there, gathering dust, because my computer and dial-up connection. couldn't handle the effects of Fiery Aura. >.<
Later, when I got cable, and a better computer, I went back, and while he's only 34 now, I always have a blast when I play him. Because of that, I tried making a Fire/Fire Brute near the end of 2009. I don't know why, but I didn't like it nearly as much. I ended up using the Free Server Trasnfers to send the character to Infinity, where it's sat untouched since.
Oh, one other thing: I really, really, really don't like playing Tankers, and really, really, really love to play Brutes. And yet, I found Fire/Fire Tanker to be better than Fire/Fire Brute.

ANyways heres my brute build i came up with: its expensive, but im not worried about inf.
This makes me lean more on brute. What's gonna be better for my style? Tank has combustion, but brute has fury, which will overall do more dps? I'm thinking my fury will be atleast 20... which is already higher damage than the tanker.

My personal recommendation would be a Brute also... but im biased. :P
But as far as i know if you want to be a little bit tougher go with tank. If you want to do more dmg go with brute, not 100% sure if that would be A LOT more dmg or just a little bit.
Edit: Just went over your build there are a few things.
1. your end would have been horrible.
2. Dont put your PBAoE purple set in Blazing aura.

Interesting build. On my build, with consume up every 55 seconds, will I run out of end in a minute?
And I did want the most dmg effiecent toon more than defense. I liked how you got my end covery up. I'll have to mess around if my end will be a problem

My vote. Go Brute. With enough investment you can rival the toughness of a TANK, while with the tank, you'll never put out as much damage as a BRUTE. So if you think you're going to really invest in and play with this toon alot, go Brute for some epic power.
P.S.
I have a 50 IO'd DM/Fire/Soul brute that has 42% def to melee, 20% to ranged, 45% recharge and generally wades through masses of enemies (exception: Red Conning LongBow and Aracanos).

For my desired damage/recharge I'm getting stuck at about 40& s/l and melee - Is it worth it to drop my damage down for the soft cap?
I kind of think Oblits work pretty well in Blazing Aura.

OK I will consider something else besides Obliteration. My Brute is currently 35. I'll redo another build and try for better endurance (My Current ones are end heavy.)

I'm not sure if anyone of you are still checking this out, but I hit my brute to 50. I've came up with a build that is S/C fire and aoe damage.
Let me know what you guys think of it.
I'll be going with spirtual alpha on this one.
The farm I do is fire so dont worry about smashing or lethal, thx... not sure if assault on is to much end for me or not..

I'd try to get more +rech if your farming fire dmg. Since fire dmg doesnt have any -def purple insp will easily be enough. And i for one really like RotP, if you dont though you will be fine.

-More Recharge

-better accuracy
-better regen/end

I was making a brute Fire/Fire build for a friend, and so I searched what can be found in the forums... I haven't see builds trying to boost recharge in order to have perma hasten.
This friend is not very rich, so I tried to make something without PvP sets. Also, he wants to use this brute only in PvE, not necessary for farming.
So... In this build, I have perma hasten, so the heal come back every 10 minutes, and I didn't try to softcap defenses. Probably better with the endu/resist alpha slot.

Personaly, I prefer Phase instead of Rise of the Phoenix, but my friend want a self res ^^
So, if some regular users of this Archetype see this build, I'm very curious about their comments.

I'm debating on a brute or a tank with fire/fire/fire I can't decide. I came up with two builds that I think can serve me well.
I'm more worried about recharge and damage then defense, but want to try and get soft cap, or as close to it as possible.
Influence is not an issue. Please post what you think. Mainly will use this for all around PvE - and for ticket farming. I usually don't play solo - and play in teams.
Both are relatively the same build, with recharge about the same, and close to soft cap S/L and Melee. - But with brute there is fury, which means more damage. But tank also has combustion as an extra AoE.
EDIT: NOT SURE about alpha! Let me know.
