How's the mob scatter with Shields?
Scrapper AAO is very good, and will keep most enemies from running.
That being said, however, the 1-2 punch of built up LR and SC will cause surviving enemies' morale to break really easily. If survivors aren't actively in AAO's radius they do tend to run a bit. Try to wait for the enemies to cluster a bit before you wipe them out and you will minimize runners.

Debt barely slows down levelling these days. It's just a little bar that measures how much Awesome you've generated recently. (If you're not getting debt, you're just not trying to generate Awesome hard enough.) -Kelenar
Hi guys,
Trying to decide between brute or scrapper for my Elec/SD. It seems like scrapper is the superior choice for LR/SC damage, but I hate how mobs tend to run from most of my scrappers. None of my brutes have this problem. Is the taunt in Scrapper AAO sufficient to keep them from scattering? Or is it the brute taunt-attacks that keeps them clustered up better? |

You want the scrapper hands down.
AAO will prevent any kind of Scatter, and the scrapper versions of SC & LR are in a class by themselves.
The Brute versions are a pale imitation and do no justice to either set.
Awesome, good to know. Thanks guys!

AAO has such strong agro control it is really insane.
protector-knight: lvl 50 invun/axe tank
Lillian Brick: lvl 50 stone/stone/pyre tank
Hybrid-knight: lvl 50 db/regen scrap
Vengful-Nature: lvl 50 spines/sr/bod scrap
Element-Wizard: lvl 50 fire/storm/stone troll
I can vouch for this. I have a ice/electric/pyre tanker. and if Sheild scraps are on the team. I must gain agro not only by aura, but by punch voke, then often times have to regain my agro off of the shield scraps with a taunt.

I have very little trouble with running enemies. It's in stark contrast to my Katana/Dark, even if they do occasionally wander off.

As other had said you want the Scrapper. I have a level 50 Elec/SD Brute and a Level 50 Elec/SD Scrapper. The Scrapper does a lot more damage and is more fun to play in my opinion. I really haven't played my Brute in some time, and when I got my Scrappers build done the playing time went down a lot. The Scrapper is just that much for fun to play for me.
