Builds or powersets that used to be 'tight'
I'm probably going to get lynched for admitting to this, but prior to Inherent Fitness, I didn't take Lucky or Evasion on my SR Scrapper.
The increaded Defense Debuff Resistance has made an incredible difference.

For me Stalkers and SoAs.

I actually still don't have Evasion. What?
As I solo most of the time, I don't have a lot of worry about AoE splash damage, and I just take out the AoE targets first. Likely I will work up a second build for teaming, but then with Elude I can compensate if I have to.
Prior to my respec, I did not have Agile or Dodge. I picked up both, to max out the scaling Res. I decided that and the DDR was higher priority than maxing the AoE Def.
Just about everything was pretty rough up through 20. 3 of your 12 power picks were forced (4 counting the secondary set, though the T1 in your secondary is usually okay). Worse, this is the point where you tend to have gaping holes in your power sets. If you're a melee sort, you almost certainly have a pretty bad attack chain, or holes in your defenses, or both. And of course, there's also travel powers, especially for people without the long-term vet rewards. So if you wanted a travel power, and stamina, those two things took up five of your twelve power picks.
The only sets that didn't feel "tight" to me were the ones that didn't need stamina.
I have to agree with /SR and most stalker builds were once tight.
Last night, I did about 10 respecs. Some were 50s and some where leveling that I didn't have mid builds for. On many of those builds, I found myself at a power pick in the 20s thinking, "Nothing else I want is open up yet. What do I pick?" I've only had that happen to me once or twice before i19. That is a huge change from "Dang, I want this but I need this. Sigh... This will have to wait lvl ___ because ______ opens next and I can't skip that neither."

Fire Tanks.
In the past this is what I HAD to take:
Fire shield
Plasma shield
Boxing
Tough
Weave
Combat jump
Super jump
Acrobatics
Swift
Health
Stamina
Blazing aura (you have to be able to attack something!)
Scorch
Taunt
Burn
Healing flames
Now this puts you into your 30's before you are really a tank.
Now I just built one like this:
Fire shield - with I extra slot for Steadfast knockback
Plasma shield
Tough
Weave
Burn
Taunt
Speed speed
Blazing aura
Consume
Healing flames
I am only 24 and now I can save getting 6 powers! It is a HUGE boost to make me a real tank in my 20's.
Oh, and on the topic, my Stalker isn't SR, but he's an alternate of my SR Scrapper, so I tried to follow the exact same patterns with his build. So both builds were tight because I was trying to synchronize them.
I have found that my SoA's don't appear "tight", but I'm definately getting more out of the pre-20 portion of their builds. As three of them are still racing to the magic 24 level, this has been helpful. Kheldians as well.
Basically if a "tight" build is one where I don't pick up "filler" powers (or they already didn't have Stamina) then that I think covers it. I can't remember any other examples.
BTW, my LEAST tight build? Joe Everyman, my "MAN" build. I was picking up powers I DIDN'T want. But the concept of a MAN build is that you don't take powers from your Primary and Secondary. That obviously is a lot harder now that Fitness is no longer an alternative choice. (Although opening up a Pool meant I could add Leadership to his build)
